Today I've been dealing with Joao Pedra, not that funny but it made me smile, and Kristina M Thumfart, which did produce a titter.

An old colleague of mine was called Gordon Bennett.

I also had a professor at uni called Richard Mold. Safe to say nobody shortened his first name.

Not amusing, but yesterday I had a message at work from João Pedro.

Turns out he's a senior software developer on the side.

It's part English and part French. 'Grue' is an old French word and more or less means 'stalk'. '****' referring to the bird with a neck and feathers. Both words were combined in Medievil England and that one is just a version of how it's spelt. Others being "Gruecock" and "Grewcock". It's totally made up of course, just a combination of random words that was a fun thing to do in the 1300's.

Had a mate called Peter O'Toole, who had an uncle Deadly and an uncle Enis.
At school there was a kid in my class called Neil Kerr, his middle name was Andrew. We had to write our initials followed by our surname on our exercise books. Our English teacher always delighted in calling him Knacker.
