I don't understand the desire to have him back. Sure, a good player. But the last thing we need to focus on right now is a forward. Though would be very Pozzo to bring in some 19 year old South American winger as the January move.

 

You don't understand the desire to have a player who is probably the most talented player we have had in the modern era? No one is saying bring back Delofeou and don't sign any defenders.

 

Are you trying to tell me you wouldn't want a player who can single handedly win matches on his own?

 

I'd still like a forward (behind a CB and a LB of course), but I do wonder if Deulofeu would still be able to hack English football, I think Serie A is probably the ideal place for him post-injury

 

Has he noticeably declined then? If anything his injury record would be the only factor which makes him coming back realistic!

 

Very talented player. If Sarr’s out long-term (guessing he will be) then we need a little extra spark in attack.

But obviously a CB and LB are more important. Probably a GK and CM too.

 

Not true - neither Cucho or JP have done much when starters, and we've got some key games during the Afcon when we could definitely do with someone else to fill in for Sarr and possibly Dennis.

Was channel hopping last evening and happened to flick onto Udinese’s game against Lazio. Needless to say, within seconds of turning it on Geri scored.

There was no great joy in his celebration. His eyes spoke of a desire to come home to Watford and fight for them. Everyone in the stadium could see it and some of his team mates even made comments like ‘go and help them Geri’ and ‘we know your heart is there’. Even the Lazio players nodded in the encouragement.
