All true, but he should have gone to the near post when Saar was on his runs. We could have got a couple more goals then. But this is only the beginning of their partnership and their understanding will improve.
The only negative from the match was bringing on Deeney rather than Fletcher. I'd have liked to have had a look at him.
I hope they told he will probably be 5th or 6th choice striker when the strikers are all fit (which won't happen!) I mean when King and Pedro are fit will those 2 even get on the bench?
Will JP be considered a central striker or a winger this season? Played most of his football centrally for us, but with AFCON coming up, we're less well-stocked out wide than we are centrally
Gosling, while past it, was the more like for like change, Louza from what we've seen in pre-season isn't the best at defensive duties
To be fair he obviously went with Premier league experience which logically made sense but neither did themselves any favours if we find ourselves in the same situation again
Just looked over the extended highlights on Peacock and, credit where it's due, fair play to Mike Dean on the lead up to the Cucho goal. We had two players fouled in swift succession but he let play go on and Cucho scored as a result. Many referees would have immediately stopped play and then that goal wouldn't have happened. Good work by Mike Dean.
When I visited Dartmouth I couldn't help but comment that their green was pathetically small compared to the green at Croxley.
No - if I knew how to upload a photo I would share the one it was closest to. Think it was from NME or Record Mirror
Had the feet out for the foot lovers also, not my thing but they seem to be everywhere. (Foot lovers not her feet.)
Watford Opinions must have been reading my comments. Daniel Bachmann: the Austrian goalkeeper was not at fault for either of the goals conceded. Last season, his decision-making when it came to coming off of his line and claiming crosses was sometimes questionable. However, on this occasion, he commanded the box and looked as sound as ever
A couple of Villa players should've received yellow cards for deliberate fouls (but didn't), other than that I think Dean had an excellent afternoon.
Absolutely, but at least in the past he would have been the ideal player to bring on in that situation, we definitely still need another midfielder if Hughes and/or Chalobah aren't going to sign the contracts
Isn’t that the beauty of the 4-3-3 system? The players in the wider positions are not pure wingers, so the likes of Pedro, Hernandez and of course Sarr are very comfortable there and can get involved in scoring goals.
Great o p. as per but shame about the lack of ambition. It's apparently ALL and ONLY about finishing 17th without a cup run. Sounds rather boring to me. And who are these Lariidae we should fear? Argengatus argentatus, Fuscus graellsii or even ridibundus?
