2 of the the 3 European competitions are up and running (well, the qualifiers obviously), have half an eye on Stephen Glass' Aberdeen tonight who just battered Dahlberg's former loan club Hacken, with Lewis Ferguson (remember him?) scoring twice

The Liverpool vs Milan match sounds a cracker - odd that the Liverpool players are being rated lower than the Milan ones on the BBC site despite the fact they are leading and have had far more shots on goal.

I watched a bit of that Brugge game but I had to switch off because I simply cannot stand watching Neymar. The worst diver in the world, screwing his face up in agony trying to cheat the opposition at every opportunity. It makes me feel embarrassed on his behalf until I remind myself he probably gets paid a million quid a week to do it.

Anyone see Napoli’s equaliser against us last night? Osimhen. Phwoar what a leap and header.

Cracking game, Mr Integrity cost us though with his usual raft of bizarre substitutions.

If Brendan Rodgers had been in charge of Brexit we’d have been out of Europe by Christmas 2016.

Might be looking at European Conference football at best as top team only goes through.

Mind you can beat Spurs then !

Waste of time Scottish teams being in Europe.

Hard times for those in debt ESL clubs in La Liga. :D

Darwin Nunez adding more money to his transfer value this pricing Brighton out of a move. Should have had a hat trick.

The EL is our only hope of qualifying for a CL place this season. I’d obviously love to see us win a trophy and while being in the CL doesn’t mean a great deal to me personally at least it would be progress and it would keep players at the club.

Given how we treated our game in Warsaw tonight Rodgers would prepare for a conference game by ramming a trumpet up his arse and tooting out ‘I’ve got a lovely bunch of coconuts’…… or something.

Apparently not the fault of VAR, but how on earth was that French winner allowed?

Yes apparently a Spain defender just touched but thought it had to be deliberate.

I have no idea why the referee changed his mind on the Atletico Madrid penalty last night.

Neither have I, except to say that refs are automatically under huge pressure to alter their decision as soon as the VAR suggests they take a second look on the screen. The inevitable implication is: "We think you've got that one wrong" and going to the side of the pitch is pure PR. It will take a very brave ref to go against his colleagues, even though these cases are always going to be close judgement calls.

Big up to Bodo Glimt. Been simply fantastic again first half. They just work so hard for one another. If we are interested in Glimts keeper he definitely looks the part again. One absolutely fantastic and brave save at the feet of El Shaarawy. Plus their goal was top class.

Let’s hope the yellow submarine can hole them below the waterline.

Man U doing well to hold on here - sound right under pressure.

I mean it is basically the same coaching staff ( as Paul Scholes said they are partly to blame too ) and the odd token change .

    They won’t make much difference.

Ronaldo will probably win it with a late goal though.
