Linked to Derby and Huddersfield. They must br desperate ! https://mobile.twitter.com/AdamLeventhal/status/1356197660684808200
FFS if he’d been sent on loan the L1 the Champ 3 years ago we might now have a 9 we could use. Too little too late.
Could it be that Gino,in a fit of desperation, has concluded that as only Pedro will score from open play,we will try and sabotage other teams by sending Success to score against them? It's mad enough to make some kind of sense.
Why are we not willing to use our own assets. He has potential, is big and quick. We lack proper options there (that are not AG) and he is ours why do we want to send him on loan when if he is going to make it then games in the championship are ideal. If not may as well just sell him on.
I'm sure, if he goes somewhere and immediately starts playing for them, you'll still just accept the narrative that he miraculously just recovered. I know our club are playing games with us.
Can only assume he's said he's had enough and wants to leave. Don't blame him. Wouldn't be surprised if we punishment loan him to Sofia, like we did the other two.
Genuinely don't know how I feel about him going on loan, been a useless piece of **** for so long for us, but there's talent there, and a division below he just might be of use. More confused than angry/happy about this!
He wasn't the answer in the Premier League. But also has something none of our other attackers have in pace and strength. He'd have got more goals at this level than the other two morons if he'd played the same amount of games.
He showed so much promise when he first arrived, has gone nowhere but backwards, injury prone and ill disciplined. Good riddance.
Training to do what? Doesn't mean he is fit or has been fit for a while. Quite happy for him to loaf about in someone else's side while he decides if football is for him.
He couldn't possibly be worse than Gray - even if he offers nothing at all he will be at the same level as Gray. Why on earth would we loan him out (unless we have a striker coming in).
The suggestion was first team training but granted that could mean anything with us ! He probably would be better than Gray but don’t think he has the mindset. Having said that we do need to get a striker or two in and letting potentially fit ones go makes no sense .
This is the logical question/assumption Problem is we’ve been brunt so many times before it’s pointless trying to derive any logic from their player trading
Yes, because he hasn't done it here under a whole string of coaches. I wouldn't trust him near our first team right now. If playing games is they bought a player for too much money who hasn't produced, has misbehaved etc and they are trying to put a brave face on it, then yes they are. But at this point it's hard to get outraged if they ship him out. It's too much effort to follow this exhausting machiavellian narrative that you folks do. It becomes hard to distinguish between good and bad, so you call it all bad.
What's that you say? We're linked to Chris Brunt? 36 years old, get him on a 4 year contract to protect resale value.
There's fit to train and reach 98% fitness and fit to have the extra required to be effective. If he has the latter I'd be amazed, but still wouldn't care if he leaves.
TBF Munoz did say Success was in training so have to presume he is fit in some way . Now how fit is a different matter !
In our League Cup third round game in 2018, Success led the line on his own against a fairly strong Spurs side, scoring a great goal and giving them such trouble all night that we managed to take the game to penalties despite starting a 19-year-old Wilmot out of position as a lone defensive midfielder, having Kabasele brainlessly sent off 15 minutes before the end of the game and being 2-1 down in the 88th minute. Can anyone honestly say Gray has ever provided a performance with even half that impact? (rhetorical question, fyi). The very idea that we can afford to keep that vile jester around, and yet we are so unconcerned by the aforementioned striker; the only alternative option we have left to try out, that we would consider loaning him just as he comes back to fitness, to other teams in the same division as us, that we have to play again this season, IS ABSOLUTE ******* MADNESS. What is going on at this club? Can only possibly conclude, despite all reasonable thought and evidence, that we have a genius new starting-striker dancing about in the kit in front of a semi-conscious, drooling Affleck in full interview form, ready for the twitter to fart out in a couple of hours time. Otherwise, this is insane.
I was actually quite looking forward to unleashing him in the Championship. I know he was completely useless in the PL, where he just didn't have the discipline and tactical awareness, but I thought he might be a bit of a surprise at this level. He literally cannot be worse than Gray.
I know we are trying to trim our expenses but if this is true we need a forward to come in. Of our strikers Pedro looks decent of course, Perica might be if he was fit. Deeney had done better recently and Gray is a write off. What happens when it comes to a crunch game and we need a goal ? I would have anyone rather than Gray on the pitch trying to get one.
I can make a case for others leaving but this one really doesn't make sense. We have the worst front three in the division, with Deeney, Gray and Perica yet we have a player that has talent and shown it, albeit a while back now, that just could make a difference and we want rid? Very odd if true
Incredible insight from Watford hating reporter at the Watford Observer. Sources close to Isaac Success claim 'anything can happen' amid interest from four clubs https://twitter.com/ObserverRyan/status/1356209973739589632?s=20
