Also, who is tipping him as the "next Aubameyang"? He's 19 and he's not even made a single competitive appearance yet. Also, here's a quote about him from Reiss Nelson “Flo Balogun is like a young Eddie Nketiah up front because he gets into good positions and always scores goals,” Reiss Nelson told the official Arsenal website in March 2018. So according to Nelson he's the next Nketiah.
Why are you using the 'reported' tag if Watford have not yet been specifically linked with this player? Come on. You've been on this forum for long enough to know how this works...
You mean from Augsburg. I'm presuming you're posting this as we've just been linked with him today, in which case it should be in the transfer rumours thread: https://www.liga-zwei.de/hsv-kommt-kevin-danso-fuer-die-innenverteidigung/ Could be worth a loan deal.
The link with us and Ganso was also already made yesterday on Sky Sports Germany then reported on transfermarkt. Funny coincidence that. https://www.transfermarkt.de/kevin-danso-zu-fc-watford-/thread/forum/154/thread_id/1048105
Jeremy Ngakia - 19 year-old right-back whose contract has just run out at West Ham. Meant to be a good prospect. Remember, you heard it here first!
Because it has been REPORTED that he wants to leave Arsenal and also REPORTED that Brentford are interested in him and also REPORTED that Arsenal want £8m for him, all of which I have REPORTED in my post. So what do you not understand about the word REPORTED
Correct, however he has not been linked with us, has he? Therefore you used the wrong prefix. No need to shout in capital letters either. It doesn't help your argument and only makes you look childish. I see the mods have since moved your thread over to the 'transfer suggestions' section. If you are confused as to why it's been moved, I'm sure they'd be happy to explain why.
Perica has not emerged into the act he was supposed to be. Still scored nearly half of Mouse Crowns goals last season. Barak would be great as well for this level. He could receive a barracking as well if fans don't like him. If we could sneak in de Paul and Musso even better.
Any idea why Perica was dropped eventually for Mouscron? Seems he had been doing well during the winter. Here's a couple of his goals for them (5:20 and 7:15):
Martinez at Arsenal seems a class goalkeeper - if we get promoted next season and he's still their number 2 we should definitely go for him to replace Foster who'll be getting on a bit by then.
Not a chance he will come here. He is determined to either their number one or as he stated rather belatedly after kicking his heels there for a while to be a number one somewhere else. Bielsa and Leeds would be right up his street. He has definitely entered contention to be the Argentine number one and he has ambitions again rather belated in that direction although Musso should be in charge now. Still it is the first time in many years Argentina have had two top class keepers who are still relatively young. As for Perica no idea why the German dropped him. Maybe not working hard enough or having a shortage of confidence. I don't have access to any key stats but he did collect most of his goals against weaker opposition and in the second half. He's big good off both feet. But maybe too timid and not aggressive enough. Still he would be welcome here as he can shift when needed. Ungainly giraffe but effective.
Perotti has scored twice for Roma at Juve this evening. Time we ended this 4 year loan and brought him home ? Perhaps this is finally the summer?
I suggested Matt Cash from Forest and apparently they only want £15mil for him. https://www.skysports.com/football/...-to-see-10m-bid-rejected-by-nottingham-forest Sheff Utd have bid £10mil which will be rejected, as Forest want closer to £15mil. I know we can’t compete with a Prem team, but at £15mil, we should at least try. If we sell Femenia for £5-7mil, and bring in Matt Cash then that would be our RB position sorted. Cash and Ngakia (if he’s signed) battling it out for RB would be very healthy.
'Only' £15m lol. A lot of money for a Championship right-back who isn't even guaranteed to start! Ngakia, Navarro and hopefully a fit and firing Janmaat to compete for that spot
Not a scooby we'll sign a RB for £15mil lol! Also, Cash would still prob force a move to the PL club even if we somehow bid more (which would be silly). Also, I doubt Ngakia will be coming to a Championship club with the expectation of being permanently benched for another expensive signing.
I know, it’s a pipe dream, but if we’re serious about bouncing back then he’s the sort of player we should be in for. If we sell Femenia for £5-7mil then we would have upgraded for £8-10mil. We’re a step up from Notts Forest and he wouldn’t have a choice to join a Prem team if they don’t offer what Forest want. So if we bid £15mil, and it gets accepted, then either the Prem team(s) match that and then they can talk to him, but if they don’t match our bid, then his choice is either go to Watford or stay at Forest. Most players will choose us over Forest.
We wouldn’t spend that sort of money on defenders when we had Premier League cash in our pockets, so there’s not a chance we’ll spend it now we’re poor again.
If Lieutenant Gruber and his little tank become manager Gino could sell the painting of the fallen Madonna with the big boobies by Van Clumpff, to release funds.
Yes but we’ve hopefully learnt our lesson that going cheap on the defence gets you relegated. So if we’re smart, we should be spending money on this defence as it desperately needs it.
Notts Forest haven’t been in the Prem in two decades! Only people over the age of 25 even remember them being a Prem team. They have spent more time in league 1 in the last 20 years than they have the Prem. Forest are another “Big Club” that really isn’t. Very similar to Sheff Weds, Derby and co. Only thing they have is history. If your a player today, you know watford will be back in the Prem, Forest haven’t been there in 20 years, nothing suggests they will be there again.
Other than the fact that we need to raise considerable net profit on transfers this summer. Maybe if we can sell other players for £60m+ we might spend £10m in incoming transfers but given the kid from WHU would be foc I can't believe we would spend our very limited funds on another RB.
Probably not, that’s why I said it’s a pipe dream. However he’s the sort of calibre of defender we should be targeting. If Cash is going for only £15mil, then the likes of Max Lowe at Derby, Cooper at Millwall, Robinson has a £1.5mil release clause if wigan get relegated, (he will have Prem offers I would imagine) and some of the others I’ve mentioned will most likely be available for cheaper. Yes we need to raise funds, but not that much. Gino is banking on getting promoted this season.
I’m with you on all of this, but whether we’ve learned lessons or not, if the cash isn’t there, you can’t spend it.
The old ‘big club’ thing again. Your assessment might hold for about a year but if we spend any time in the Championship we will very quickly become a smaller club than those you mention in the eyes of potential signings. I’m glad you “know Watford will be back in the Prem”.
