The only sub that was needed yesterday was Hughes on for Chalobah. Then maybe Welbeck or Pussetto on for Pereyra after the sending off.
This. Bringing on Isaac made us worse off - more wasteful and with no shape or structure. Giving him the ball resulted in nothing, and it took away from other players being able to do their job properly. This is a guy who has been a constant problem since getting here. Stupid things like forgetting his passport and not going on pre-season training. The hookers incident. Terrible play every time he makes an appearance. A mess on and off the pitch. He must have some good dirt on Gino. The club should have looked at all options to get him out of here and get him playing time. Surely some random club in Belgium or the Netherlands would take him. But I'm sure our arrogant management wanted huge fees or some nonsense.
That excuse has been done to death. He won't get a run of games because he is nowhere near good enough.
Utter waste of space, he is steeling a living at Watford. Nothing in his career suggests he's better than league one at best and I wouldn't bet him making it at that level either.
That was my point. He's not going to get a run of games here because he's not good enough. The only way he'll improve is by playing games which is why the failure to get him a loan is damaging for us and the player.
Yeah, gotta say I wanted to see him given a bit of a chance after some decent performances last season, but he has been horrific almost every time he's stepped on the pitch. He's one of many that we need to stop beating our head against a brick wall with and accept it's not going to happen. Pedro or Penaranda on the bench in his place.
Unless Success is played more and takes his chance to perform not sure he has much of a future.. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...old-leave-watford-reboot-career-former-coach/
He's 24 and he'll have been with us 4 years this summer. 4 years. He's had long enough and been loaned out whenever we could. Sell now (when we can) for a smallish fee and a reasonable sell-on clause and get someone in with genuine potential (we are never going to buy a proven prem striker).
He's one I believe will end up at Udinese next season. Pereyra, Sema and probably a few others. Can't see either club spending much money on fees during the next window. Musso their keeper has been linked to us though. Looks decent too.
I'd have put him out on loan to L1 or the Champ for a couple of years. Yet another one who has never been given either a run of games or a sensible loan development plan. Gino might as well pile up his cash and set fire to it.
He might actually be good in the Championship though. Albeit, that's still reliant on him being able to stay fit and injury free.
There were times at the start of last season when he appeared to have been showing some promise again and put in a few okay performances in the Prem, but it's true that the few times he's featured this season he appeared to have gone backwards and was poor.
Bloke's an obvious talent, but appears to have very little between the ears. Would I trust him to do anything in the Championship? Nope! We've got to somehow get him off the wage bill, but he's only gone and got ******* injured hasn't he?
Maybe we should just pay off his contract and get rid, he will only cost us more footing his medical bills as well as paying him for doing **** all
That will help endear us to future signings. Not only will we destroy your development as a footballer, but if you get hurt, we’ll cut you loose to save on medical costs.
He's already stole a living from this club virtually the whole time he has been here, so he has had waaaaaaaaaaay over his money's worth. Therefore I'd have no compunction in getting rid of him, though I would not consider doing that to most of our players who have at least earned their money from us.
I won’t argue with you that he’s a massive waste of money, but beside the obvious ethical issue with what you suggest, it’s just terrible business practice. As crap as he is, it makes no sense to pay up his contract and then cut him loose, forfeiting whatever money somebody would be willing to pay us for a punt on him.
I don't know why but I have this strange unerring belief that he's going to make a big difference to our horrible ****y little team at some point.
