Hahaha. Just seen Bournemouths goals. Leicester genuinely looking like a non league womens team.

You might even be forgiven for thinking they deliberately threw the game as they were unbelievably bad: -

They gave away a penalty, they scored an own goal, they got a man sent off, and near the end their defender meekly played the ball right into the path of the young muff sub, and then rather than trying to get back and tackle him he actually veered away from him in the opposite direction.

Thankfully the young lad blazed it over the bar instead of tapping in the open goal that had been laid on for him, otherwise it would have been 5-1

I wonder if Mr Integrity was out to get us o_O

    What was the keeper doing?!

Mind you he probably would have got the ball at Wilson's feet but Ndidi brought Wilson down.

And as VoR says the defenders actually ran away from the ball!

It does seem that way, and if there was an unusual betting irregularity I think Schmeichel would be in a lot the of trouble. This game reminded me of Han Segers, when he match fixed to allow Wimbledon to lose 3-2 at Everton after being 2-0 up sending Sheffield United down instead of Everton. https://www.irishtimes.com/news/goalkeeper-took-bribe-court-told-1.22762

This game was so weird, just like that one. Leicester winning comfortably, in cruise control, then just inexplicably imploded. This stuff just does not happen. Ok, it can, but it just does not happen to order. Bournemouth were down and out. This was their last throw of the dice, then out of nowhere their opponent just disintegrates without cause or reason.

Now, I can understand the VAR review in the Villa game when I know it's Jon Moss who is doing the review. He is bent, there's no other explanation for what he does. All his strange, game influencing decisions. I cannot for the life of me understand how he's not been found out and struck off. It's like he's invisible and no one notices what he does. I just don't get that, but no doubt it will all come out in the fulness of time.

It stinks, but Jon Moss can't officiate every match. Hopefully he wont be involved in any of ours in the coming matches.

Both seemingly hopeless causes have been given a lifeline. Villa have had two lifelines with officials since the restart. The goal they conceded against Sheff Utd and now today. They've ended up with 4 points directly from those decisions. Had the correct call been made, they'd very likely be 4 points worse off and out of it. A bit like when we lost at Villa. They score a goal 27 seconds over the allotted injury time. The referee blew his whistle directly after the restart. Villa must love referees as they are bending over backwards to help them.

It's not an even playing field, we all know it, but most are afraid to call it, or will go to great lengths to deny it, and this is what keeps it concealed. People just don't want to believe there could possibly anything untoward going on.

The Bournemouth v Leicester game seems a bit fishy, but if there's no proof of match fixing or betting irregularities, then it'll have to be left alone. But match fixing does go on all the time, and it's wrong to suggest it doesn't.

Gino needs to up his offers to the match officials and bid higher than Villa.

The FA doing all they can to keep Villa and plucky Bournemouth in the league.

Wilson should have been sent off as well as the Leicester player. He raised his hands, pushed him and instigated the whole thing. If someone pushes me of course I’m going to retaliate. Pathetic that Wilson wasn’t given a red.

Grealish should have also been booked for a dive.

However Bournemouth and Villa are two clubs that have the FA and officials in their back pockets and it clearly shows.

We’ve been robbed of a minimum of 7 points through VAR this season.

I would like to see Pearson hammer this home in the next three games. Bring attention to it. Talk about the Alli handball and the Sakho shoulder. Draw as much attention to it as possible. Don’t let the FA and officials get away with it. It’s a complete farce.

Villa would at best, drawn today.

Bournemouth also being reduced to 10 men and losing Wilson would have changed the game.

Agree with all the above. If there is no actual proof that Leicester threw it, could the same be said about our 8-0 smashing at Citee?

No Because leading up to that game we were utter turd, and that game even got Foster in fan's bad books. I do think it's just the roll of the dice. Teams get lucky, if we had culpitulate against Norwich and Newcastle, combined with yesterday's results, we would be in massive trouble this morning.

We still have a chance, we are not below the line yet, we could be come Friday but that's a big ask to swing the GD too. We simply cannot lose at Spam, simple as that. Even a draw would keep us ahead, we need to make sure we keep at least a point above them and pray to god teams they play don't turn into turd. If it has to go down to GD, then keeping Citee out as much as possible is vital.

Worrying times, complete opposite to how we felt Saturday afternoon.

The notion that Leicester threw their game against Muff, just to help send us down is just beyond credibility.

They are battling for a top four slot for heavens sake, and are now only 4th after being 2nd just a few weeks ago.

Muff came out for the second half on the front foot just like we did against Newcastle, and Leicester imploded just like Newcastle did, making silly mistakes. All it shows is that the difference attitude and state of mind is more important than anything else.

We are where we are due to us performing far below our abilities, far too often. There is no conspiracy.

Another sheep. Leicester are involved in the 5g covid scandal through their links with China, so to think they wouldn't throw a game is very naive.

Even with that Palace goal Dean Smith was trying to say it wasn't a foul for the free kick in the first place.

At least Grealish admitted they got lucky but easy to say when you win.

I've just been reading the referee Mark Clattenberg's comments on last weeks VAR decisions that he says were totally wrong and guess what they were in games that may well have a bearing on whether we stay up or go down.

He says that Harry Kane was indeed fouled in the Muff game when he was clearly shoved in the back in Muffs area, so there is every chance that Muff would have been one point worse off had that clear penalty been awarded.

He also says that Palaces goal should have stood against Villa as it clearly came off the shoulder of the scorer, and he went on to say the ball hitting the shoulder has NEVER been a handball either under the old handball laws or the new ones. Therefore Villa would have been one down which could quite possibly have altered the whole complexion of that game and may have led to a completely different result perhaps even a Villa defeat, so they could now be three points worse off.

Also lets not forget the Sheffield Utd goal that was chalked off by another wrong VAR/Hawk-Eye decision which could have cost them another point.

If we go down because of these disgracefully bad decisions we really should be able to sue someone for loss of earnings IMO

These are clearly incorrect decisions, even when the evidence is there playing in front of you. Everyone can see the video footage, and there is no excuse for getting so many decisions wrong anymore. If it's a judgement call, then so be it, it's a tough one to prove, as one person's opinion can differ from another, but when we're dealing with cases of fact, like the Sheff Utd goal or the Sakho shoulder, this is something else.

Why are so many decisions wrong, even with VAR. Jon Moss knew that is off his shoulder, he can see it like everyone else. Why did he advise Martin Atkinson to disallow the goal. Why did he lie to him? This is what we need to understand. It's not possible to have seen that goal any differently. It's the back of the shoulder, never has been handball under old or new rules.

Why didn't the VAR official tell Michael Oliver that ball had crossed the line for Sheff Utd. These two incidents are crystal clear and yet, even with VAR, the decisions are wrong. There is not even a slither of doubt to hide behind.

This has to be looked into, for the good of the game. There is too much riding on results and is too public, yet still referees blatantly deny their own eyes and imagine something else occurred. Coincidently both these big decisions have benefitted the same club, who are fighting relegation.

This cannot be allowed to continue, it just can't. The reputation of officials is farcical, but they don't seem to care. They trot out lines like "we're pleased with how this season has gone overall.". There has to be an independent body overseeing what is going on. There are far too many incidents like these going on, which totally defy logic. I personally believe something more sinister is going on, as that's the only logical explanation that fits. To me, it looks as though results are being engineered and that's a damning statement to make.

    Could have been a red?

Man U not getting the VAR going their way because they did last week..

  18. It's understandable a ref can miss things in real time in the heat of a game, it's inexcusable when the VAR ref can examine the incident from multiple angles and speed in a calm pressure free room

The Palace goal is incredible. How anybody can come up with being handball is incredible. John Moss should never ref at this level again. To give that decision after watching it on VAR is simply unacceptable

Why was he doing VAR at Villa having been panned by them (rightly ) for giving a soft penalty against them days before?

Someone would have made a point to him before the game .

Couldn’t agree with you more about the Palace goal; it’s unbelievable that was disallowed. The Sheff U one was slightly different in that technically it wasn’t within the remit of VAR to give a decision, and that’s the line they followed, but in fact it was sheer bloody-mindedness on behalf of the officials not to use a video replay to clear up an unfortunate failure of the goal-line technology. That was the obvious common sense solution but they didn’t take it.

At least with FIFA taking it over directly next season they won't be swayed by moronic fans or the UK media when it comes to watching the screen like PGMOL have been.

But he's still ******* terrible and shouldn't ref again anyway. He'll probably get bumped down to the Championship next season when we get there.

Five substitutes will be allowed next season, IFAB have just announced. However, each league can decide whether to use the extra subs or not, it won't be compulsory.
