Iv Been a fan since ‘87, but certainly not an expert so over the years some ex players have passed me by or my mind has long forgotten (sometimes for the best!)

preferably 0-5 appearances, loans, trials or youth

What triggered this was I only just found out, And I had absolutely no idea he made 1 appearance for us between the sticks in 1990 ZDS cup

il start of with Tony Meola!

Famously came up against Essaid Belkalem at the 2014 World Cup, can't be too often that two bit-part Watford players end up on the same pitch on the grandest stage of all!

In amongst stories about Pearson beating up Wolves (not unlike Javi then :D) there was the time he sacked a BNP supporter at Leicester, former Hornet Wayne Brown

Calum Davenport only played something like 20 minutes before being injured but he looked excellent.

    Lucas Neill

    over 600 league appearances
    Nearly 100 international appearances
Captained and Played for Australia in 2 world cups

    According to Wikipedia:
On 24 February 2014 Neill signed for Championship team, Watford for the remainder of the 2013-14 season, but made only one appearance, as an 84th-minute substitute in a 3-0 home win against Barnsley on 15 March before being released in June 2014 effectively ending his career as a player.

6 minutes for us was enough to call time on his career

    Lionel Messi.
Seems incredible to think he played a game for us against Crewe. Can't remember him doing anything special.

Does anyone recall Paul Okon? Apparently played 15 games for us in 2002 but I have absolutely no recollection of him appearing for Watford although I do recall he played for Middlesbrough

I remember we had Trevor Benjamin, 2 appearances, at the same time as Agbonlahor.

Also Craig Beattie, 4 appearances but did manage to score!

My favourite thing about that era is we played Coventry away at the Ricoh after we signed Trevor Benjamin and Agbonlahor on loan - and we kept Agbonlahor on the bench and played Jay Demerit up front.

IIRC Devaney never played a competitive game, signed in the off season, almost completed pre-season, had a training ground fight with someone (can't remember who) and was immediately sold to Barnsley (I think).

I heard Michael Kightly's name mentioned on From the Rookery End last week. I'm sure there was a point we were desperate to sign him.
