What’s in that for Everton? The kudos of rejecting a large big? Or to invite bids from elsewhere?

Maybe because it’s rumoured they are flouting FFP and the relevant authorities are rumoured to be considering looking into them. Turn down a ‘bid’ of £85m gives an impression you can afford to.

Everton will owe barca for Digne, Mina and Gomes. Could be a way to resolve Evertons FFP and Barca to get a new player in without much outlay.

Plus, I’m always wary when SSN ‘break’ news that no one else reports. Smacks of them trying to get people to bet on things on their betting app IMO.

Agree totally on the fake news / betting crap from SSN especially obvious with manager appointment rumours - i can't understand why they do it when they don't own sky bet anymore..

This is looking like it might be true, if so how much would we get out of the deal providing it is right that we do have got a sell on clause?

Be handy for next season to cover the debts if we go down.

You have forgotten to put the "m" on the end of that figure.

Great news for us! Gino has done it again.

Isn’t the sell on clause 20% or something like that? If so anything north of £50mil is going to give us a nice little earner. Come on PSG, do it!

Rumour has it. Everton want £85mil. If that’s true, even if we have a 10% sell on clause, nice little £8.5mil boost. Hopefully it’s 15-20% though, a nice £12.75mil-17mil boost.

edit: this deal is moving quick!! Apparently his reps have been in Paris since yesterday. Contract to 2026 all agreed. Just the fee left.

This is great news if we do indeed have that sell on clause for Richarlison!!!

Don't forget we would only get a percentage of the amount over and above whatever we sold him to Everton for, but even then we might still be able to buy a half decent established player if that sell on clause exists and if the PSG deal happens of course

I honestly can't believe this is serious. I think Richarlison is a good player but I don't think he's at the PSG level yet.... certainly not as a replacement for Mbappé!

If this happens there will be a lot of angry Everton and PSG fans. If there is a sell on clause, the only winners in this deal would be us!

Aren't these usually a percentage of the profit, rather than the whole fee?

    Nice work agent Neymar

I wonder if Moosegasm still thinks moving to Everton was ‘career suicide’?

It won’t be a percentage of the entire fee just the profit.

What would be the knock-on effect of Richarlison going to PSG?

Zaha finally off to Everton to replace him and Palarse in for Sarr to replace Zaha?

Hope not, but would worry me.

Or the flip side to that is it all happens aside from Sarr going to Palace which would be absolutely spectacular

We wouldn’t sell Sarr so late into the window, but I definitely could see Zaha leaving which would be great.

We should go along with it right up until the last moment, get Harry the Hornet to sign the contract instead and send him along for the big reveal at Selhurst Park.

I imagine Palace would make a bid but they'd have to stump up north of £60m I reckon and I can't see them doing that.

If it's £85m I'm not sure Everton fans would be angry at all

Who'd have thunk that the average skinny kid we signed in 2017 would be playing with Neymar and Messi just four years later?

    Crazy times.

And wasn’t it that absolute chump Tim Vickery, the self proclaimed South American football deity, who said it was a bad signing?

Going by Twitter (I know), the money might be ok but the timings not. With 3 days to go until transfer deadline day most Everton fans appear to be concerned (to say the least!) as to what the club will spend the money on to replace him.

And, based on Everton's transfer dealings over the last few years, who can blame them?!

This would be nice. 12-17mil + 5 mil from Whogues and we could spend 5mil on Sissoko and 17 million on a quality defender/RB/LB/3 6mil defenders.

That's a fair point. We could offer them Deeney

"Here's Doucoure.... DEENEEEEEEY! Do not scratch your eyes! BIG TROY wins the merseyside derby for EVERTON!!!"

I like how all the stuff Everton stole from us is going badly. No solid managers since Marco, Doucoure 'vastly overpaid for' and Richie doing well but not being replaced.

    Karma.

Marco was hardly a solid manager for them, hence why he was sacked.

BFS was their last solid manager, not literally of course.

I think there is another side to this transfer that’s good for us. Every time we talk to a young south American talented player and their advisors say why should we sign for little old Watford ? We can point out the Richarlison story, three step up deals securing his sporting and financial life.

If we get a few gems to brighten up our squad, making some money, what’s not to like?
