Massive massive massive game. I expect the loser to be relegated. Unless it's us.

I will definitely wet myself if we lose Tuesday. A week and a half of it as well before we get a chance to put it right against Everton.

Why are people worried, Aston Villa are rubbish, seriously. They only got at Brighton because Brighton decided to slow the game down and took their foot of the gas.

Villa really are one of the poorest sides to be in the Prem in the last decade. Grealish is the only player that has something about him, everyone else, is championship at best. Let’s be honest, Grealish wouldn’t even start for us. Deulofeu, Doucoure, Sarr. He’s not taking any of their spots.

Just keep him quiet and we win easily. We just smashed this lot a few weeks ago with 10 men. Since then, they got a lucky win against Burnley, lost to Fulham in the FA Cup, scraped a draw against Leicester in the league cup, got walloped by Man City and got just lucky against a poor Brighton team.

We on the other hand, have dominated everyone.

They don’t even have a recognized striker.

Kick Grealish up in the air a bit, let him get himself sent off because he is a petulant cry baby and we win 5-0. If Grealish manages to stay in the pitch, we win 3-1.

Either way, it’s an easy day at the office. Villa really are crap.

For me it's a little bit "don't get complacent" and a little bit "don't tempt fate".

I know we are the better team, I know we should win it on current form, on paper and on ability, but the superstitious, pessimistic and "we've lost games like this before" me knows not to goad and prod the footballing gods into going against us!

Should we win on Tuesday we should be waving cheerio to the bottom three for the rest of the season ...

If we win by 7 our goal difference will make it a 16 pointer.

Let's hope this post ages well and doesn't come back to haunt you. It's a massive game for them in front of their fans. Presumably we will be without the speed of Sarr on the break.

There is no reason why we wouldn't go there and tear them a new one.

I’m not confident. When Sarr hasn’t played this year we have been utterly hopeless going forwards. Hopefully Nigel has the answer incorporating Peryra or Pussetto is ready to go.

Enough of the cheesey cheese jokes already. They are beginning to grate.

If I had my way I’d blow up the bloody cheese factory but then there’d be debrie everywhere ..

Remember just before Xmas when pundits and oppo fans were saying ‘Watford look doomed, we just need to be better than two more teams..’
Muff and Narch are not doomed yet - as u say, plenty of twists and turns to come...

But a win at Villa will give a glimpse of daylight above the bottom 3 and it’s a big big game.
Losing Sarr is a big blow but..

Because we did extremely well at Bournemouth we have put ourselves in the position we are where another good result lifts us possibly a place up the table and considering we are playing the team 3rd bottom, away from the bottom three!

however a loss would put us in the bottom three and should Bournemouth win home to Brighton 2nd bottom, therefore a win or certainly not to loose is imperative to marching onto safety!

We haven’t had a poor performance sine the arrival of Pearson, please don’t let it be tomorrow evening!

Although we all want to win, this is very much a must not lose under any circumstances. If Muff lose to Brighton Howe is toast. When I say toast I mean toast made from the cheapest lowest quality sliced white, past its sell by date, retrieved from the skip, put in a toaster, burnt to a crisp and then served with lard and spam.

This is what I think will happen. If Sarr is not fit for the game, and I think that must be unlikely, then Bobby P will return and Gerri will be swapped to the other flank. Pussetto on the bench.

The toast sounded disgusting until you added the lard and spam, which would go a long way to making it quite palatable.

Fair to say you’re quite taken by Nige then? Has he done or said anything weird yet? People remember the weird outbursts when things were going badly here but he never got the credit for being genuinely funny in his own misanthropic way.

    Quick Nige story. He was doing a live radio post game interview after a preseason friendly, it was the summer after we got promoted to the Prem and we were trying to sign Esteban Cambiasso at the time. He was talking to Ian Stringer from BBC Leicester, who is a tool and Pearson openly despised so he was feeling quite highly strung I guess. Out of nowhere the voice of another journalist came in saying ‘Nigel! Any word on Cambiasso?’ As I remember it the following exchange happened;

NP - ‘Erm excuse me I’m talking to Ian’

    Journo - ‘......’

NP - ‘I’m talking to Ian.’

Journo - ‘Well well well I just....’

NP ‘No don’t try that with me. Don’t ******* try that with me’

Cut to back to the studio, apologies galore and a song to fill the time the interview was meant to fill. Classic Pearson.
