This youngen is having a great season for Real Zaragoza. 13 goals in 19 apoearances. Anyone k ow if he has got a work peemit? And have we got a recall option for January?
I'm susprised the media haven't picked up on what a coup this is for us. One of the best forwards in the game. Another example of anti-Watford media bias?
PS: If anyones interested I just downloaded his goals - they're available to watch here: https://streamable.com/ubru8
He qualified for a Spanish passport in October according to press reports over there. He’s now a dual national.
I can't work out if that's double ****, so twice as bad or whether the shitness muliplied becomes a positive.
Thanks for sharing. His second goal on that video was really good. Nice mixture of finishes on there too, from multiple angles and with both feet. It also struck me that at least 3 of the goals came from him gambling on and anticipating potential mistakes from which he was able to capitalize. He seems to have been steadily improving, year on year, so it’d be a shame for him to come over here and have him ruin his career.
Why have I never heard of him? Probably because there are so many fantastic Latin strikers on Watford's books and I get confused by all this talent.
Lets bring him back from his loan to Zarragossa, where he has scored 11 goals so far this season. We need him me thinks
We're going to have a decent side in the championship next year, I'm looking forward to seeing what big Nige can do with the output of our international footballer slave trading
Luis Suarez is having a great season for Zaragoza. He's now scored 14 goals in 21 matches. Developing nicely. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...ord-striker-luis-suarez-target-real-zaragoza/ I've watched him quite a lot this season and he looks like the real deal to me. He's cool in front of goal, not perfect, but his progress is very good. Zaragoza are having a good season and currently sit 4th in LaLiga2. I see him a little bit like Vydra in the Championship. He's fast and assured in front of goal. Not sure how he would do in the step up to the Premier League as we've seen Vydra, Gray and Deeney all struggle to score goals at that level, although they are all prolific at Championship level. I'd say, if we had him now, he wouldn't be at the level of Sarr or Pedro, but he'd make the bench. He's much better than players like Sinclair, who I can't believe is still on our books. He would be a better option than Gray, IMO. Different type of player to Success, but I think he'd be more productive than him also. I like what I've seen of him and also like the look of Cucho, who I think would also do very well in England.
His goal here (the second one) - very nice finish with his weaker left foot. Although he also missed an open goal before that after doing well to round the keeper: I prefer him to Cucho, I reckon he looks a sharper and overall more rounded CF. Given JP's good but not earth-shattering showing against Tranmere I wouldn't be surprised if Suarez was currently at a similar level (he is 4 years older mind).
Some really good finishes and he is very quick to capitalise on mistakes. Certainly worth having a look at him in the summer
Still did more than Gray did. He showed a good first touch ,movement and pace. Even worked an opening for himself. Promising display imo. I suppose Grays heavy touch did set up Pereyra for the third.
Interesting story, if true of course. States we are not interested in selling Suarez and will be offering him a contract extension. He'll be part of the squad next season, however, he's not interested in playing in the Championship. http://sportwitness.co.uk/watford-not-listening-bids-striker-despite-contact-players-entourage/
Luis Suárez scored the third goal for Zaragoza in a 3-1 home victory over Deportivo La Coruña. Suárez is joint second leading scorer in the Segunda Liga with 16 goals (which is the same number that 'Cucho' Hernandez scored two seasons ago for Huesca).
https://streamable.com/1hbtf - His goal from the weekend. Good strength + desire to win the ball and then a good finish on top of that.
Maybe the only chance we'd have of getting him to gladly play for us in the Championship would be if we managed to ship off Gray and then give Suarez a new bumper contract on around £40k-£45k with the task of firing us to promotion in one season.
I suppose if you’re Suarez, there’s a couple of precedents to consider. You’ve got the case of Penaranda and Success, who came here and saw their careers not just stagnate, but actually go considerably backwards. On the other hand, you’ve got Lukebakio who basically showed no interest in coming back, and has relatively prospered.
I don't think Success and Penaranda every really did as well in Spain as Suarez has done so far. Alternatively, Suarez could also look at Cucho and see that tearing it up in La Liga 2 is no guarantee of even getting game time in La Liga.
According to this he's going to be part of the plan for next season and will be offered a major new deal. http://sportwitness.co.uk/watford-t...n-give-considerable-improvement-current-deal/
