Never seen a wasp caught in a spiders web. I think they fly into them and destroy them just for fun. Wasps are bastards.

Of course you are quite correct. Silly me. I think she said "poisonous" but that's fine as it's not her first language ....and her brain was frazzled when she was struck by lightening.

I remember when I got a tarantula as a teenager and the book I had about keeping them mentioned a wasp, which lays its eggs on a tarantula and stings it. The sting paralyses the spider, the egg hatches and the larva eats the paralysed, but alive tarantula until it matures enough to become another **** wasp.

YES... the tatantula hawk wasp. Saw one in Costa Rica and photoed it attacking a tarantula. Saw the tarantula and was trying to take a photo of it and this big wasp kept flying at me every time I went near it. Couldn't understand why. Told my guide and showed the photos and he explained this and told me that the tarantula hawk wasp has the second most painful sting in the insect world, second only to the bullet ant. Basically you cannot control your screaming and usually pass out. I'd have run a mile if I'd known....not my video ! Saw plenty of bullet ants too in Costa Rica.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarantula_hawk
"Tarantula hawk wasps are relatively docile and rarely sting without provocation. However, the sting—particularly that of P. grossa—is among the most painful of all insects, though the intense pain only lasts about five minutes.[8] One researcher described the pain as "...immediate, excruciating, unrelenting pain that simply shuts down one's ability to do anything, except scream. Mental discipline simply does not work in these situations."[5] In terms of scale, the wasp's sting is rated near the top of the Schmidt sting pain index, second only to that of the bullet ant, and is described by Schmidt as "blinding, fierce[, and] shockingly electric".[2] Because of their extremely large stingers, very few animals are able to eat them; one of the few that can is the roadrunner. Many predatory animals avoid these wasps, and many different insects mimic them, including various other wasps and bees (M*llerian mimics), as well as moths, flies (e.g., mydas flies), and beetles (e.g., Tragidion) (Batesian mimics).

Aside from the possibility of triggering an allergic reaction, the sting is not dangerous and does not require medical attention. Local redness appears in most cases after the pain, and lasts for up to a week."

Potential dangerous weapons that would be confiscated. You could point to this page on the forum but I don't think it would hold any water. Unlike the set of beautiful crystal goblets you had taken with you to Sheffield.

I wouldn’t know. Using a glass is just creating washing up and pouring from one glass container into another one just wastes time. Straight from the bottle for me, and I always head for screw tops - saves faffing around looking for the corkscrew thingy.

    Cheers!

    Hic!

    The term Mansplaining.

It seems like disagreeing with a woman at any point at all might be referred to as mansplaining. Talking to anyone in a condascending tone is rude, man to man, man to woman, woman to man or woman to woman. There's of course a bunch of idiots of social media, man idiot says something about the solar system, woman happens to be a NASA engineer, world bullies man. Woman idiot says moon is made of cheese, man corrects her, mansplainer.

People, specifically the woman in front of me in the local post office. There was one person in front of her being served, she didn’t have a pen so had to borrow one, then went about writing out the addresses on 5 separate letters. She was half finished before she got got the counter so carried on scribbling them out at the counter making everyone wait. She then didn’t know the post code for one of the addresses so asked the bloke behind the counter to look it up, he couldn’t find it so she said she would go and get it from her phone which was in the car. 10 minutes we all waited behind her. Why you wouldn’t do this at home or away from the queue blows my mind.

FYI this was written in the queue while I waited, it annoyed me that much.

LOTS of people have no self awareness, simply couldn’t give two hoots about anyone outside their own bubble. I HATE THEM.

Cats, specifically that they can **** wherever they like. I don’t let my dog out of my sight when we’re out and about but if she were to **** somewhere and I didn’t pick it up I’d get publicly shamed and flogged on Facebook groups by the kind of nosy losers that probably own cats.

I should say that I don’t hate cats, just the attitude that they can be kicked out of a house and left to do whatever the **** they like. Go on other peoples’ property, crap everywhere, antagonise other pets. They should be walked on leads and their owners should be held accountable.

But that's what cats do. It's their nature. They like to roam around.

Your job, as a non cat owner, is to clear up their ****, clear any feathers from the garden after they savagely kill song birds at your feeders, keep any small pets locked safely away from them, drive carefully because they are wont to run out in front of their car, and if you do happen to unluckily run one of the bleeders over, your job is to take responsibility for the body, track down the owner and break the bad news to them.
