Bad news......Kevin Friend will be the FA Cup final referee.

VAR official is Andre Mariner though....so we've got guy looking at the replays.

He's already refereed a Man City v Watford FA Cup match - the famous 4-2 game at their place in the Zola season.

Though only 1 Watford win since 2010 - and that came in the QF against Palace.

Anyone else feel like a big screen in Watford is a bad idea?

Loads of part time and non Watford fans getting pissed up in town all day and throughout the game, not really caring that much about the club but just there for the craic.

Feels like a recipe for disaster opening it up in town.

That, or they are legit Watford fans who couldn’t get tickets, get pissed up, we go 2 down in 20 mins and they start kicking lumps out of each other.

Most likely, those scally’s up the road see this as an opportunity to “run the Watford” and descend on the town because, you know, they are ‘ard.

They've still not sold out 4 days after cat C went live, and you only need to have bought 1 ticket in the past 5 years or something to be cat C don't you?

Any legit Watford fans should surely have been to at least 1 game in that time so be eligible, so surely anyone who wants a ticket can get one.

Older son is a Cat C.

In a scene reminiscent of Sophie’s Choice, the family decided (by a majority of 2 to 1, one abstention) that Cat B dad & younger son should press on with their ticket application.

Older son now not grabbed by the prospect of sitting alone in the gods surrounded by a bunch of beered up plastics.

At these prices, I’m not going to force him.

He’s more cricket anyway these days.

2 or more.. because they split the C group this time. The rest of Cat C are eligible from tomorrow.
I think people are probably people also holding out to see if the new batch of tickets are in lower price catagories.. not that i think they will be.

I'm couldn't really care less about the ticket sales. It was a secondary point to the one about people wanting a giant screen up in town.

Point was, with tickets still available, anyone wanting to go and with a genuine interest in Watford should be able to get a ticket. Why do we need a giant screen up for people who only gave a passing interest. It'll be on terrestrial TV and in pubs everywhere for those people.

What with having to set it up and then police it (and it will need policing) feels very unnecessary.

Why are the people around him more "plastic" than he is?

There seems to be a lot of snobbery around who is a real supporter and who is plastic - I am not picking on you about this, just a general observation of many posters.

There are many people who support WFC but due to circumstances cannot go to many games.

5pm KO this time. They'll have a whole extra hour to not be able to handle their beer. Wonderful.

This is exactly why we decided to sit in a section where we're pretty sure there will be no issues.

Listening to talksport this morning Alan Brazil said there was a lot of "fisticuffs" at the Spurs ground last night. Violence is definitely on the return.

I'm looking forward to going to the new Spurs ground next year but getting to and away from it is going to be a pain. This doesn't help.

20190502_145118.jpg Just saw an old Belgian coffee poster advert in a cafe, the girl was wearing a yellow ribbon (in the merry month of may) and a black silk kimono covered in yellow Hornets. The cup's in the bag people.

I'm not convinced it's ever really gone away. Spurs vs Ajax was always going to have issues and I suspect there will be more issues in the return leg. In regard to the Semi-Final, why on earth do they make this a 5pm kick off when there is no other football on that day? An extra hours drinking when a lot of people start at 11am and probably earlier is just asking for problems and it put me off taking my 9 year old son to be honest. On a side note, there is now a tube strike set for that day which will be fun!

Let's hope the union can negotiate a payrise to resolve their safety concerns in time to call off the strike.

Last player to score the winning goal in an FA cup final against Man City was a ginger, although admittedly he wasnt wearing a kimono.

So what’s the closest overground station to Wembley Stadium and how long would the walk take? Is the other option a bus service?

Where are you coming from? You can get the train from Northolt Park if you don't want to go into London.
