How anybody supporting Watford for more than a couple of seasons can believe ANY game will be 'easy' baffles me.
Lol. Reading it back it does come across a touch miserable I guess. Would claim reverse psychology because we are so close to succeeding but that’d be a lie. It’d be really great to get a run in Europe. It’s not inconceivable we could go quite far in the Europa League and there’d be some great potential weekends away. Just not sure our squad would be strong enough for it. Should never doubt the Pozzo’s though. As for the comments about arsenal and united. Just frustrated we didn’t take a single point out of these showers of *****. It’s doubtful they could get much worse but I guess there is always Fulham, sorry, Chelsea in a couple of weeks and more-so next season without Hazard.
Are they? They're a bottom half side and still not 100% safe from relegation. No easy games and not a given we'll win, but we are the better team and at home. We should be confident.
I think the problem is he doesn’t look bothered , rest of the team run around chase everything and are generally in the right area of the pitch , success ambles around waiting for someone to pass to him. He has skill (probably) but I doubt his commitment / desire.
Yes, I get that. But I think certain players give that impression, but it can be a false impression - sometimes it's just a 'languid' style and sometimes it's because the player can't get into the game and is struggling to keep up. I seem to recall Capoue getting some stick for quite a while, until somebody pointed out he was actually covering more yards (well metres, he's French) than anybody else. I don't know why I'm defending Success, really, I don't think much of him myself; but there is that aspect of it. Maybe he would profit from a season on loan to the Championship.
As we know the Belgian Second Division throws up all sorts of gems. We'll have a squad of 'wonder-kids' ready the challenge on all fronts next season!
Very good news that Pereyra is back. Pleased to see Kabs as well. Femenia being dropped is a bit of an odd one though, especially as our RB will be more likely to come up against the pace of Redmond. He did seem to take a knock in the Hudds game, so maybe it's just a precaution.
Mariappa presumably dropped for that duff header gifting Huddersfield their goal on Saturday. Hopefully Kabasele can sense a cup final starting spot is there for the taking and really steps up.
Overstating it a bit. He passed the ball sideways just inside their half, before multiple things happened which led to the goal. Might as well credit me for not running over Ken Sema when I had the chance
On paper, they have better players than us. For some reason they're a worse team, but saints on a good day or us on a bad day and they have have enough to win.
Watford head coach Javi Gracia: "In this moment, I'm not thinking if we are going to be able to keep our position or not. "To be honest, I prefer to be focused on our next game in three days and we have to recover and try to prepare as best as possible for the next game." Has JG been hitting the lunchtime sangria?
As a footnote, isn't it extraordinary how few draws there have been. 3 at the weekend but, before that, none in the previous 3 rounds. 3 weeks ago, only 3 teams drew. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/table
Kabs and Jaanmat are cover for Mariappa and Femenia. The latter pair will be back against Wolves unless injured.
Unless they have knocks there should be enough time between the games for the first choice players to play all the current games - the rest of them are doing so.
