My only regret from yesterday is that in celebrating all three of our goals, I didn't take a second to note whether or not Heurelho was going mental

Those of us watching at home were treated to a full on Gomes close up after the third. He was completely losing it. Pure brilliance.

Then he cried at the final whistle. The man is a legend.

Well I missed that game against Leicester but this makes up for it and then some. Could not see us coming back with 15 to go and even when Deulofeu scored that sublime goal which I was right in line with (it was glorious) I thought it'd be one of those cases of so close but no cigar. Fortunately Deeney did score the pen, and from that moment on the only thing I didn't want was penalties. I really felt we'd be the only one to win it in extra time. To put an end to countless semi-final miseries in such incredible fashion will be something that stays with me forever.

As for the team, as most have said, outside of Deulofeu's impact Holebas was definitely MoM. The big turning point was Wolves taking off Neves and Jota. Possibly the oddest decision ever and suddenly we turned some possession into real threats and you could see Wolves defending deeper and deeper with less and less confidence. Still didn't think we'd do it but the guys had other ideas!

Only thing that soured the day was a double collection of ass-clowns either side of us. At 2-0 down you had one guy saying **** every 60 seconds and threatening to punch the lights out of anyone who asked him to shut it. That was nothing compared to the 15-20 muppets to the right who got into a row and of course started throwing punches because, well just because I guess. With quite a lot of children around it is sad we have these sort of people supporting our club, or not as they'd rather punch each other.

Fortunately they were ushered out, some did the usual "it's xyz getting done, let's get out of here", such a manly act, and we could get back to witness the unbelievable events unfolding in front of us.

If you were in block 138 or near it then yes we got caught in that too. 3 seats away from us. The group that piled in were basically looking to fight from kick off. Pretty hard to explain to a crying 7 year old.

Will you be emailing the club about this? The source of tickets is easily traceable and the ejections will have been recorded I'd bet.

Block 139 so right next door. Could probably estimate which seats they were but before you knew it they were out of their seats and going at each other. Seemed to mostly clear out afterwards. And yes, ridiculous behaviour even more abhorrent with the presence of so many youngsters.

Yes. Me and my mate got the same genetic reply from a club spokesperson via email. My son was a mascot in the GT Boro game and my mates sons are season ticket holders so it's not just a day out with the kids that's on the line here. These are future generational fans. Sad for them to miss out.

Block 139 was where the Wolves fan and his mum were attacked in the first half. Silly man jumped up when they scored. His mum/gran got hit too trying to get him out.

    Science is marvellous these days.

TCT, what a shame about your day.

We usually stand amongst the more laddish elements in the Rookery. I didn't recognise any of the laddish elements in our block yesterday.

I don't think it's fair to mock the comments on the shout box. It's used an instant reaction to an event - which over 90 minutes is going to be more geared towards frustration than happiness.

If someone did a transcript of what I was thinking throughout the game it would probably make me look a right idiot as well

It does capture the full range of emotions we went through though. I'd like to see a transcript of the "Almunia saves, Hogg-Deeney moment" though ;)

Too many more games like that and I guess I will get sacked

Why, as an opposition fan, would you sit in the wrong end? It's asking for trouble not that I condone it.

I know. He had a half and half scarf which is essentially asking for it in the first place.

I'd argue it's the place for a half and half scarf. Well more the final anyhow less the semi.

Easy for me to say this in hindsight but I was privileged enough to see him at the first at our place event he attended last year. You could tell he had a genuine love (obsession) with football even early on.

I remember someone said one of the matches had been boring and his response was to the effect of there are no boring matches. He wasn't being flippant, he really had that child like look as he said it

Sorry to hear that a minority ruined what should have been one of their Watford fc related highlights.

Perhaps the club could consider a child friendly section?

My first lesson was with the 'West Ham supporting but likes Loon as his Grandad is a ST holder ' lad.
He said "Obviously I was disappointed with the result". At least he was honest!
During my last lesson Emeka, who is 7 and likes,in no special order,Man City,PSG,Barcelona and Liverpool asked, prompted by my colleague "Are you happy?"
I replied "Moderately" and my colleague spent the next ten minutes explaining irony to him. Infact he was still doing so as I left, but Mike never uses one word when 27,000 will do!
Mr IBB's tennis playing,Wolves supporting acquaintance has been very quiet today!

Been on the Wolves forum, and it's good for a laugh. They are such a bitter bunch. Nonetheless, they are gutted a tin pot side like Watford not only outplayed them, but out sung them also. There is begrudging compliments how we did this so much better than them from a supporting perspective.

They took the p1ss out of the singing section, but now they admit it actually worked. Having a dedicated singing section behind the goal, with drums really helped set the tempo. So they are going to adopt this tin pot idea in 2074, when they next get to a semi final.

They thought the flags were so much better than their mosaic as well.

I have to agree. The flags and noise we made created a really special atmosphere. It's what the cup is all about. Far too often it's the top six battling these games out, and it all becomes a bit stale and samey. It's not a big event for those clubs, but Watford and clubs like us, really make it a special occasion.

All the credit goes to Roy Moore and the 1881. They done the club proud.

One small thing. Maybe more yellow flags for the final, and ditch the black ones. When I watched it back on Sky you couldn't really see the black flags, but the yellow really stood out. Everything else was perfect though.

AH, it was certainly not my intention to mock the Shoutboxers.

The freezing of the forum's most spontaneous form in a written script has, though, a certain absurdist beauty. It is like a conference call where you can hear only half of the speakers & half of the team is subject to psychotic mood swings. The fact that the action runs ahead of the ability to capture it fully in words gives it a thrilling impressionistic quality.

My thoughts during a game divide neatly into two.

Hope the clock speeds up or hope the clock stops.
