Booked a flight home for the weekend of the final in the euphoric state I found myself at full time.

What a bloody team we have.

It's the first time we've scored more than one in a cup semi final.

Earlier in the season we were vexed by what goal would win it. We have a clear winner now.

Which Wolves forum is that? Which Ben is that for that matter? Foster or Wilmot...can't see much of a reason either of those should get much attention from their fans if I'm honest.

I read only the Molineux Mix forum and to a man they said we were the better team, deserved the win and their coach's tactics cost them the game.

On another note, this team is the best we have had in my 39 years (just worked it out quickly) supporting Watford. I was groomed on GT's success so possibly I felt as entitled then as some of our more recent fan base are today but the 90s brought me back to reality and what it meant to be a Watford fan. Success is a rare and precious thing and should be drunk until the teat is withered as it could well be another decade or two before she is tasted again.

I've not seen a Watford team play live this century but even from 6,624 miles I feel a bigger connect to this team than any since the the 80s and that includes the promotion at Fulham where I didn't miss a match home or away that year but I had already moved to Philadelphia that summer before we beat Bolton.

This is the connect I miss, Watford is, and always has been a special team....except you need to be a Watford fan to even see or understand it

I was watching it here on TV in Vancouver. With 15 minutes to go and us 2 down I had to leave as I had a minor game to ref. When I got back my wife said do you want to watch the recording I said No assuming we'd lost. When she told me the result I had real difficulty believing it.

I invited some wolves around mine to watch the game with s fellow horn today. They turned it down at the last min. Myself and the other half of the Watford supporters club Edmonton Alberta watched the game with a few special Canadian guests. ( now Watford boys) was in contact with a wolves lad at the match. We can’t get better than this we deserved that and they know it.

I think I’ve watched the highlights at least 8 times already.

    Absolutely buzzing.

So glad we beat that tinpot club who would be nowhere without their billionaire owner who is best friends with Jorge Mendes.

As for Nuno being manager of the year, don’t make me laugh, nowhere near the levels of Javi. FA Cup final, in the race for 7th and spent £70-80mil less than Wolves. Nuno isn’t fit to lace Javi’s boots. Sounds like he won’t even be at Wolves next season anyway since Chelsea are lining him up.

I have been absolutely bored of the media love in for Wolves recently and how great they are blah blah blah blah blah. Everyone outside of watford wanted a Man City Wolves final, most media outlets seemed to think we didn’t exist, and were tipping Wolves to beat Man City in the final. Well shove that up your backsides! We are going back to Wembley! The better team won.

Wolves will drop down the table now. Their legs were absolutely gone and we were running rings around them. No chance they get 7th. This will have a huge mental drain on them. Will be between us, Leicester and Everton now. Wolves season is over.

I fully expect our boys to go up a gear even more now. Everyone will want to play in the final and knows they have to earn their place. I actually think we will see an even more impressive Watford I’ve these next 6 games.

Really want us to get 7th so we don’t have to worry about winning the cup to qualify for Europe. My concern is playing 3 games in 7 days with the last one being Wolves. Just don’t want Javi to go 4-4-2 against them again when we play them in the league in a few weeks.

Great day. Let’s smash Arsenal next Monday.

Yep that's why we left. Massive punch up after 70 minutes in block 138. We had 3 young kids with us in tears. It was the 4th punch up we'd seen. I'm not sad to have missed all the glory I'm just glad I put my dad hat on and did the sensible thing.

Javi sent a proper message today by dropping Geri. His performance against Fulham was far from acceptable. With a final around the corner, everybody knows that places are there to be won and lost. Equally, handing Gray the start proved that if you take your chances when given the opportunity to get on the field, Javi will reward you.

I think we’ll really kick on from here over the next couple of weeks, as players start wanting to either stake, or cement their claim for a starting spot.

    I reckon we’ll beat Arsenal.

    Amazing stuff.

Wolves are a decent club and I thought their fans were gracious in defeat considering the circumstances. Many others would not have been. Defo not tinpot.
Think most of their fans were too pissed by KO to make any sustained noise.

That was an honest match between two proper teams

    I agree.

I spent a good half hour last night looking at a couple of Wolves fans forums, and I think I only saw about six posts being critical of Watford. They were very gracious in defeat.

They were mostly upset with the way Wolves sat back in the last 15 minutes and extra time having subbed their most creative players in Neves, Mouthino and Jota.

I doubt if we would have been so dignified if we had lost in the same circumstances.

Have to admit I thought he got it wrong, especially as Gray didn't have the best of games, but it certainly looks like it kept Geri on his toes and hungry, so it'll go down as an inspired choice!

Such fine margins that managers live by. Be interesting how the lineup progresses in the remaining games.

I’d like to see Delefeou come in for Robbie P

It's a funny old game isn't it? For so long, it looked like Espirito Santo had got it pretty spot on (no pun intended), and 9 times out of 10 they'd have seen it out

I think that’s a bit harsh. I’ve nothing against Wolves and out of all clubs we should have the most empathy with them. They’ve found a way to succeed like we did with all our loan signings that doesn’t involve chucking hundreds of millions at it and hoping for the best.

It was a great game that both teams should be proud to have played in and to have been a part, it’s just a shame there had to be a loser. If it would’ve been us in their situation it would’ve been absolutely souls destroying.

It’s worth us remembering just how painful our last two Wembley defeats were. They must have been gutted and fair play to them for being gracious.

What a game. Greatest semi final of all time? What about greatest match of all time?

Absolutely gobsmacked. At 2-0 we never gave up, kept fighting and got our reward. What an inspired sub from Javi. Delafoo turned it on, two stunning goals. I was never in doubt when Deeney stepped up and smashed in the penalty. Mon Capitain.

Everyone else has said so much i agree with all. Just a fantastic game, and made me especially proud to be a hornet. Cant believe with 11 minutes till we bowed out, the courage and steel we showed. Never gave up.

Just so still elated. Hearing Deeney want an extention to his contract made me feel honored also. Everyone played their part. Gomes was immense, Femina played his socks off. Grey had chances, should of scored but his deft weighted pass to pkay in Delafoo for the winner was just as good as a goal.

Defense were to a man. Fans? Wow Great support throughout and so many flags and scarfs. It beats the win over Lesta that day. So much emotion ruuning through us all right now.

I echo Gracia with his favouite three words

    IN THIS MOMENT

You had to see it to believe that happened. You had to be in that moment, and what a moment it was.

GT was there in spirit with udms all. We did him proud, the club proud, the town proud and tge world of football proud.

Yep showing up some of our fans who were fighting each other at 0-0. We bumped into a guy who turned out to be Tony Cotons minder who told us he had to move coz a Watford fan started on him due to his Birmingham accent. He was great and he offered to take us to meet TC after the game when we came out but the kids were too upset from all the aggro.

It was good to see how much it meant to the players. Stand out was Capoue, he looked absolutely thrilled. I’m not sure any fan celebrated more wildly than him.

Deulofeu and Gray also celebrating wildly showing a big team spirit.

Win or lose, Wembley is a soulless money grabbing dump.

It’s a measure of the place that they put opposition fans in between layers of the other team’s fans.

So if City win the league, we'll be guaranteed to play them in the Community Shield no matter what the FA Cup final result is. Cool.

Some of the lovely Wolves fans were throwing coins, beer bottle and seats as well spitting at Watford fans below. Stay classy.

Apart from those ******s I found the rest of the Wolves fans to be very gracious and good to talk to.
