I think they believe they should be given every single seat in the VR End. Even the ones that don't exist.

Leeds had the whole stand for the 5th Round in 2016 and our club website says they brung 4,065. Which is probably not far short of capacity and only about 900 more than Palace are getting tomorrow.

As well as boycotting the over priced garbage on sale, have they considered writing to the lead singer of Echo and the Bunnymen?

Perhaps this is how the weird Palace/Brighton thing started as well.

We are gonna win this. I heard my lucky song from 1998/99 on the radio. Always means a win.

Plus, their supporters are a bit weird.

Repeat of the playoff semi-final first leg, 3-0 to us.

I suspect the second one is a joke, taking the piss out of the real one that their "firm" put out as though it was a press release.

The second one basically says they accept that Zaha dives, they're going to turn Vicarage Road yellow and Harry the Hornet has got in their heads. Surely it's satire?

Our capacity of 22k, divided by 4 to get 25%. We gave them 3k. Figures are rough but thats the gist.

On the evidence shown, I think it’s only right that every Palace fan entering the ground tomorrow has to surrender their hard-drive.

Unless I'm missing something, our capacity isn't anywhere near 22k and we have to give 15% (not 25%)...?

Not sure where 25% came from. Palace are only entitled to 15% of Vic Road's capacity (21,500?), which is just over 3,000. Their problem is that we are not handing over the whole of the Vic Rd End, but instead netting off the other part of the stand.

Sounds fair to me. Safety and all that. Fewer Burberry-clad Ultras to have to put up with!

11 pages on their forum about wanting a new rivalry. Many posts about wanting us as rivals.

We are flattered Palace, but you are much like a desperate ugly girl at the end of the night at a club, no one wants you so stop flashing your knickers.

Oddly they seem to think we have never had any rivals. Pretty sure its called the M1 derby/rivalry.

Start thinking more like a palace fan and you'll feel it. Surely a penalty ref, that watford thug brushed wilfs elbow with his torso.

I do think we've scored a massive own goal by not giving them the whole end. All it's done is galvanise them and given them a reason to be angry. I think the club have f***ed up here.
Hope we don't win, can think of nothing worse than have to trudge down to Wembley to face City in the semi final at £60 a pop.

There is no point to football then, but I'm fairly sure you don't like the FA Cup anyway. If we did get through and play City, we probably would lose but they have lost to Palace and Leicester this year and we were actually doing fine until the ref intervened a week ago. We might win and get to a cup final but we certainly can't do that if we lose tomorrow.

Don’t understand that at all because it’s pretty clear we haven’t given them more tickets for safety reasons. It’s the local health and safety authority who gave the right to judge that we give them less than 15% - seeing as that’s what’s happened I’d suggest it wasn’t the club’s decision at all. The club will have been advised and we have acted upon that advice...

As for banning flags etc, that’s another matter but fairly sure we don’t let other away clubs bring that stuff so it’s hardly treating them any different.

As for wanting us to lose and go out... What?! So you only want to be in the cup if you get an easy draw? That’s next to impossible so we may as well not even enter?

I just feel sorry for all those Wigan fans who refused to spend £60-£80 to see them get thumped by City in the final...

If Palace fans are really upset about not getting enough tickets, then they should just boycott the match. That will show us.

Has it? I'm pretty sure we've just given them their 15% entitlement and not a seat more.

Yeah you're right, and I violently disagree with semi finals being held at Wembley. However, if we manage to get to the final my principles will firmly go out of the window.

Burnsy, I post short to the point answers most of the time so may look like really don't care, but I do. Two of my most recent worst games were the playoff final and FA Cup semi final, both defeats to Palace at Wembley. The fact we lost to Palace and played like utter mongrels both times wasn't the issue, the massive problem I have is:
    1. The cost, which I can afford no issue but I don't like it one bit when I'm ripped off because they know I have no choice but to follow the club.
    2. Then there's my mates who decide to bring their whole families along, along with everyone elses which absolutely murders the atmosphere.
    3. Then there's the day trippers who think you're ruining their day by standing up.
    4. I f***ing hate the FA Cup since the "holders" decided to tour Asia/America/wherever instead of defending it. It died for me then.
    5. VAR. No, just no.

    etc.

Boycotting all food and drink - We don't serve alcohol in the away end anyway, so I'm sure the Pozzos are crying over the lost sale of 100 or so bottles of Coke and a few pies.
Fans complaining that we're not allowing them to bring fans or drums in - that's the same for every visiting team, as stated on the Watford website
Complaining that we've given them the minimum allocation - Of course we would, can't see any reason why we'd give them anymore, especially considering how small that concourse is, must be a safety hazard and I'd imagine we'd do the same no matter which team was visiting.

Palace trying to make out they're something special and we're trying to mess up their "fantastic support" when in reality we haven't done anything that we don't normally do for visiting fans. Classic.

The more you think about it the better it would be to flunk out v Palace. Two trips to Wembley with women who never go to football and kids playing on ipads for £180 with seats miles from anywhere to watch us get turned over and butt raped by either manchester.

Ah yes, the holmesdale online. A heady mix of silly little boys & grizzly old men who yearn for the days of the empire and fully support brexit etc.
I don't post on there. I don't even read it.

www.cpfc.org is slightly more mature in outlook, but with all football forums it has its fair share of warriors/idiots/wind ups.

That will be pretty much a summary of what would happen if we got through. But also if we beat one Manchester the final would be rinse and repeat against the other.
Id prefer to give it a go. But if we all agree to leave Aunty Mildred at home this time that would be great.
A semi final in the FA Cup is still something. As is a cup final. Got to take the chance while we can, who knows what the future brings, we could get relegated next year and never get to a quarter final ever again

Wembley brings out the weirdos, I saw a guy in his 20s cry last time because the people around him wouldn't join in with him singing, he spent the whole game shouting at people around him and flapping his arms around - was quite funny. There was also the angry middle aged ladies group (there was about 20 of them) who were tutting at people coming in late and demanding to see people's tickets as they made their way through. Then there's the thousands of half & half scarves I saw grown men wearing. For some reason it seemed that the loudest our fans were around us were those hurling abuse at other Watford fans. Oh, and the reemergence of those clappy sticks.

At the going rate in the ground for food and drink I reckon that would pay for the scouting system for a year.
