Not sure if anyone's been allocated to do a preview but thought I'd create the thread so we can start discussions.

I'm the most nervous I've been since the 2015-16 Semi Final

Whatever the result there will be some controversy, however could we have any more Zaha talk banned in this thread until after the match finishes? It's all been said ad infinitum in the other one!

One goal in it, could go either way, but a third 2-1 of the season to us would be just fine!

Sat in front of Deulofeu and Navarro on a plan back from Barcelona. They promised 3-1 Watford...

Let's hope VAR doesn't f*** everything up. The stress of extra time and penalties will probably kill me, so come on boys, get the job done in 90 mins. 2-0

Hope VAR doesn't ruin my post game debating. Hoping for a few juicy dodgy refereeing decisions ripe for pub bants.

    0-4 Palace.

We've had a fairly generous ride so far in the cup. No game is easy but our B Team have done superbly. Do we make wholesale changes? Going by the side we had vs Citee I suspect so.

No harm in bringing them on later if we are winning. Replacing a few tired legs with some new energy and keeping our shape.

Palarse are never easy and almost always score against us. Its going to be tough and both sides are in no real danger of the drop, so no reason not to go for it.

Manure away afterwards is not something to think about. If we can do it, it would be special.

Why are we having to playing Alice again?

Are the premier league making us replay the league game following a review of Capoue’s tackle on Saha?

I see the final is on the 18th of May. The final in 1984 was 19th of May. Perhaps that's an omen..

It will be one day short of 35 years between our cup final losses :)

Looking forward to Zaha going down and the VAR confirming it wasn't a dive.

We'll win this easily none the less, Palace are awful and won't be able to handle our quality in midfield. The easy victory will actually be a bit of a anti-climax so hopefully Palace can get a goal to make it interesting.

Marriapa and Cathcart for me, I like Kabasele but he's due a silly tackle giving away a penalty or red card.

We’re winning the cup and it’s going to be great.

I said the same thing to my better half prior to the 3rd round draw and am bitterly regretting not putting my money where my mouth is at the time.

No need to feel nervous about this game. If it's meant to be, we will win. I believe in the old adage of your name's on the cup.

Great bantz if the engraver etched the name on the cup in mid Aug.

This is definitely going to be one of those crazy, ridiculous games that we talk about for years to come.

Just have to hope that it is more in the mould of Leicester 2013 than Leeds 2013 and Zaha is Knockaert rather than Poleon.

Just concerned we're not going to go full strength.

Gomes is in the media today talking about how it could be his last appearance at Vicarage Road 'if selected'.

Love him for everything he's done, and he's still a decent keeper, but with a home cup QF that could potentially go to penalties, anything other than selecting the strongest possible team and best goalkeeper would be crackers.

Nah Gomes is a club legend and still a very good keeper - easily one of the best backups in the league. And he hasn’t conceded in the FA Cup this season and has a good penalty record.

I wanted Pantilimon to be dropped in 2016 but dropping Gomes isn’t as necessary as that was and would leave a sour taste.

I was behind Gomes at MK Stadium when the penalties were being taken. His reactions were p*ss poor so I don't suppose he's got any quicker since then.

Will be a tame affair which barely registers an emotion for either set of fans.

    Prediction

    Watford 1-1 (aet) Crystal Palace
Deeney (3), (missed pen 90+5, missed pen 120+2); Zaha 90+3

    Penalties

    Deeney 1-1 Milivojevic
    Cleverley 2-2 Batshuayi
    Deulofeu 3-3 Benteke
    Janmaat 4-4 McArthur
    ̶P̶e̶n̶a̶r̶a̶n̶d̶a̶ 4-5 Zaha

Yep, it seems certain he'll play. I'm devastated. There is no place for sentiment in football. Foster is miles and miles and miles better than gomes.

We will go out thanks to a gomes howler. Bookmark this post.

I don't have a problem with Gracia selecting Gomes. Did you see how good he was against QPR in the previous round? He dominated his area, caught every cross cleanly, and made one fantastic save.

He's kept 4 clean sheets in his 5 first team appearances this season.

Ok Foster is rightly the number one, but there is very little to choose between the two.
