Would be nice if the keeper problem ran on a bit longer but I expect Heaton will be back to haunt us...
Seems so. "Sidelined" per the main bbc article on the Aberdeen page about McInnes looking to bolster the defence.
I think lettuce growing would prove hazardous to Tommie. Poor Tom's a crock,as The Bard almost wrote!
I remember this, wasn't this also when Bellerin was on loan and Hoban was reportedly faster than him?
I came on here to make a joke about Hoban is probably injured, only to find out he actually is. Madness. The lads so fragile, a sneeze would probably blow his nose off.
Out for 3 weeks with a knee injury apparently. At least he has the Aberdeen medical team looking after him so it might truly be 3 weeks rather than 3 months.
Now we know why Gino didn’t sign us a CB in January. He’s putting all his eggs in the miraculous return of Hobang basket.
Good article that. Worth remembering how good Tommie H was as an 18 year old amongst all the hype about Wilmot. Injuries have probably brought his time here to an end but it he continues starring for Aberdeen until the end of the season, I wouldn't be disappointed to see a year extension to see if there was any chance he could live up to his early promise.
Stretchered off at Aberdeen after going down with no-one near him and screaming in agony. Have to think his body just can't handle professional football. Desperately sad.
****, that's horrible. Surely he has to seriously think about retiring as his body cannot handle playing, which isa huge shame as the talent was and is there.
Such a shame the lad is so injury prone, it looks like it has ruined what could have been a very promising career for him.
Poor guy, desperately sad for him. Hopefully the club will help rehabilitate him and move him into a different role if that's what he wants and his career is over.
I think he is on a reasonable contract with his father being a financial advisor, hopefully he will be fairly secure financially, as mentioned previously I'm sure if this is the end of his playing career, maybe a coaching career beckons! Good luck Tommy!
Well she is already an orthopedic surgeon and I don't think she's looking to change anytime soon - and I simply reckon that, as such, she knows more about knees than I do, so I'm quite happy to believe her diagnosis.
Aberdeen have just released news from Tommie's scan. https://www.afc.co.uk/2019/02/19/tommie-hoban-injury-update/ The club can this afternoon confirm Tommie Hoban suffered a cruciate injury during the match against St Mirren last weekend and will require an operation that will see him miss the remainder of the season. We are liaising with Watford FC, Tommie’s parent club, to plan the next steps ahead of his operation. Everyone at Pittodrie wishes Tommie all the very best for his recovery.
I don't think it is. The picture in post #67 sees him clutching his left leg while the link below, from August 15 2017, has a picture of his right knee strapped after the operation to set it right. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/15475072.hoban-suffers-fresh-injury-blow/
