No reason why they would post a load of training photos if they weren't from today. Deulofeu also in the last one. Good stuff.
I wonder who will do the next "Richarlison" and be bought by an offer we can't refuse: 1.Chalobah? or 2. Spoiler: someone else Deulofeu?
He can be seen in today's training video, notably involved in the small-sided game towards the end. Fit for the weekend after all?
Sub at best I think . Hughes will start and Capoue likes the sunny weather . Doucourae is more likely to be selected .
Interview with Chalobah in the Mail just gone up: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...loan-play-men-fighting-bonuses-feed-kids.html Somehow they've managed to get more information about how his injury happened than the club have bothered to put out in the last 10 months. Long story short - he's now in full training, so it looks like he's just being treated with kid gloves rather than suffering from any ongoing issues.
You can fracture your kneecap making a diagonal pass? Makes me not want to have a kick about with the kids.
Can people stop bumping our player threads please, when I see a new post I instantly worry that it is about a career threatening injury. ** Mods, instead of ‘a new post has been added’ is the a way to change it to good news/bad news depending on the content?
Good interview, seems like a nice level headed guy. Really hoping for him and us that he comes back as strong as he looked at the start of last season.
'It was difficult,' he said. 'I made the decision to leave Chelsea because I wanted to get as many games as I could. Prior to that, I hadn't had many injuries. The Watford injury curse in full evidence there.
Yes but to correct a cracked kneecap our medical team first had to break his ankle in a revolutionary new treatment.....catch up TVOR.
A school friend of mine cut his knee open playing footy on the green opposite his house. His mum thought he had cut it on glass which was still embedded in his leg so tried to pull it out. It was his kneecap......... !
Do we think he’s had a setback that is being kept quiet, or is he really just working his way back to full fitness? As ever with this club, details about his injury and recovery are sketchy, but given that he was seemingly approaching fitness during preseason and now isn’t even mentioned as being possible for the league cup game this week, it doesn’t seem a stretch to consider things aren’t going very well.
Likely just a very serious injury as opposed to a setback. There must be an unfortunate chance he never returns. Given the club’s estimate return was December 2017 then any verdict from the medical department is irrelevant because they haven’t got a clue.
When he was on the pitch at Old Trafford and whenever he's been in a training video, he hasn't looked right. Even the way he approaches the ball to kick it looks unnatural. The only other precedent I could find for a broken kneecap of a footballer I've heard of is Britt Assombalonga, and it sounds like it was about 14 months out for him and he had to learn to walk again. Sounds like a dreadful injury, far worse than a cruciate ligament. https://www.thesun.co.uk/archives/f...neecap-and-the-details-of-his-brave-recovery/
When I’ve seen him walk round the pitch before a game he looks like he has a limp. Not gangsta style but much more of a hobble. I don’t think we will see him play again this year.
