I like how they used simultaneous and at the same time in the same sentence lol.

It really is some next-level cringe. Youorns84 has reduced them to slagging off Watford High Street. Banter.

If I was an Everton Fan my concerns would revolve around Silva’s absoloute inability to adapt. Beginning of the season with everybody fit we looked on fire, Challobah got injured , then Hughes came in and we still looked good, Hughes gets injured as well and we started falling apart as he doesn’t know how to adapt to the squad available.

Silva wants to leave (showing absoloute lack of commitment to his current employer ), gets in a grump results turn to **** and Silva has no clue how to rectify.

If Everton squad doesn’t suit how Silva wants to play they will be ****ed , he doesn’t have the tactical skill and doesn’t have the man management skill to play anything other than the system he knows.

    The latest one:

In reply to some sort of usual comeback about being tinpot, Youorns84 has simply replied ‘Yawn’ to which he has been threatened to be banned because they are unsure if he meant exactly that or misspelt YNWA. I’m not even kidding. Then he/she called them precious to which apparently loads of them complained to their mods, thus proving his/her point perfectly.

If Silva does go there, it'll have to be another transfer window of big spending for them. Rooney, Sigurdsson and that Dutch bloke they bought for big money can't play in his system, and I'm not sure Tosun would be mobile enough either. I could definitely see Lookman doing well under Silva and he might be able to revive Bolasie's career.

It will all depend who their new Director of Football signs. If they don't fit his blueprint, he won't succeed. Luckily for them, this Moshiri bloke doesn't seem to care about pouring money down the drain so they can afford to pay well over the odds for some bang average players and then get rid of them at a loss.

The best thing about their fans is that they have invented the concept of “big 7” to make themselves relevant. How needy and pathetic do you have to be to pretend you have any role in the title or champions league spots?

To paraphrase person said “the top 7 will ebb and flow over the years and win trophies”.

    LMAO

Delusion at its finest. They've done nothing of note for 23 years.

They need a relegation like Newcastle had to wake up their fan base

W would be Watford & presumably Y for Yellow.

Have to join up the rest of the dots yourself.

It'll be a bit annoying if he ends up going to the Spammers. It'll be even harder to extract compo anytime soon from Everton if it's not helping to grease the wheels of his arrival there.

I genuinely had no idea that it stood for that.

I went straight to NWA (a la Dr Dre) & assumed it was referencing Young NWAs or some such.

    Embarrassing yet emboldening.

The ‘big club’ chat is tedious.

Man U is a bigger outfit than Watford or Stevenage & always will be.

What is far more relevant is whether a club is over performing or not.

Does any clever person know where to find the ‘points per pound’ league can be found?

On wage bill, our 14th seems fine.

I was assuming Fulham would be doing the honours on this one.

The Almen Hammersmith Stand (as tribute to the daisy cutter) or the Abdi Putney one.

    Wanted to avoid double counting.

I believe Everton had the tune 12 months longer than Watford. It was introduced by then Watford manager Bill McGarry. He liked the TV series and used it for one home game. Watford then went on a 29 match unbeaten run from October 1963 to December 1964, so he saw it as a lucky omen. That's quite incredible for a side in the lower reaches of the league.

After that long run, Watford got used to it and have kept it ever since, although it was dropped for a while a couple of times in recent years, it's still being used today.

We used it first on 15th October 1963 vs Palace, it was Bill McGarry's idea. We then went on a 27 game unbeaten run at home!

Everton started using it the season before.

I don’t really care for it anymore. Nor do I care for Yellow by yawnmongers to replace it.

Should just be something that’s rousing and sets a tone - yawnmongers doesn’t do that.

My vote would be ‘****ing In The Bushes’ by Oasis. For those who don’t know the song, the starred out word begins with F. Not W!

  31. They only used it a couple of times at the start of that season, then 'adopted' it after the Charity Shield match in August 1963, according to a scouser I know in Australia who was on their books as an apprentice.

I think they have dropped it a couple of times too - I remember reading about them running out to a Creedence song for a while, as well as a film theme tune - can't remember what they were though.

You may well end up being right, but I'd suggest the body of evidence you're making that assumption from is too small to be conclusive about that

It was more than "a couple"

We used it in our 1962/63 season, from the opening home game onwards (Z Cars was first broadcast in January 1962), although it was dropped for a couple of games in December that season until people complained and it then became "officially" adopted.

I remember Peter Johnson changing the music once to the music from 2001: A Space Odyssey, then playing Bad Moon Rising in the following home game - it only lasted those two games before people went mad about it, allegedly influenced by our disaster of a manager, Mike Walker (formerly of this parish).

    Wiki Says:

The theme tune was based on a traditional Liverpool folk song, and was adopted by Everton Football Club as its official anthem.

Do we have trad folk songs relating to W Herts?

The QSF song is maybe the most recent.
