With Kiko out, I'd have hoped he'd have gone 2 up front. Carrillo just faffs around, and Rich is so badly out of form.
Shame about Femenia, Two out of form wingers in Carrillo and Richarlison but West Brom are SOOO poor we just have to win. 3-1 Watford.
With just the 1 up top, unless West Brom really are that bad defensively, might be another late show.
Peru fans have been predicting Carrillo will start playing again round about now, as he knows he needs to be in the team and performing to some extent to ensure his place at the World Cup. It might not be a classic attitude, but as it stands, and providing he's ******* off back to Iberia at the end of the season, I'll take it.
Wouldn’t Richard be more concerned about the state of the first fairway? Maybe he’s been cowed by the poor reception for golf in our recent most disliked sport discussion.
Why are journos and pundits associated with Watford always pronouncing Pereyra as 'Peh-ray-ah'? Am I missing something? Why would you miss out the normal pronunciation of it/the 'r' at the end of word?
Has a frustrating o-1 written all over it esp with Femenia missing and Okaka not starting so only one up front.
Steve, you seem to have stumbled at the last minute by putting the goal in a completely random position. Didn’t someone on here have a dream featuring the goal near the SEJ/Rookery corner flag?
Loads of firepower on the bench if we need it later - Gray, Okaka, Hughes. Hopefully Janmaat might not get shown up too badly against this lot.
Awful game, they look much more up for it than we do! Capoue has been utterly useless and Pereyra and Carrillo non-existent! Richarlison trying to make things happen. Best player on the pitch is Mariappa. Need Okaka on for Carrillo and stick Pereyra out wide, at least he may find some space.
Capoue's committed two incredibly dangerous lazinesses that have led to Brom chances or almost chances, neither for any reason at all. This is the problem, and the Crapoue we all know and love, rather than the weird invented narrative one that rears his less ugly head once every half a season to claim he's changed and grown and he's a new man and what we need.
Carrillo just goes through the motions, you watch him and wish he'd demand the ball more. Rich continues to give the ball away non stop
They’ve all been bad, but Richarlison has been the most disappointing for me. He lost the ball so many times. Also a special shout out to Janmaat getting turned inside out about four times by that racist Rodriguez.
I agree about Richarlison BUT, at least he's TRYING to make things happen and isn't hiding away from the ball....unlike a certain Mr.Carrillo.
It'll be interesting to see what Gracia does. The way we've been overrun in midfield makes me think he won't go two up top. In an ideal world we'd have a central midfield sub, Capoue is so off the pace today
The problem is we aren't playing with any real width and there is no movement up front. At least if we stick Gray or Okaka on with Deeney we can start pulling their defence around and create some space in midfield.
God darn it and i forgot the other goal altogether! No wonder the players werent happy with me that day.
No better than the Everton game last week. But we were told that Gracia would be largely unspectacular and make us solid - with the occasional great. Another Deeney goal - can't wait for Okaka to get all the praise for it after... Quality from Hughes...
That Deeney goal means that he has scored in his 50th, 100th, 150th, 200th, 250th and now 300th appearances...
Horrid game, but we got the result. Karnezis absolutely outstanding, so much more commanding than Gomes. The albino Iniesta made a huge difference.
Another huge win. Fair play to Troy, it was another brilliantly taken goal and what a ball from Hughes, perfect weight, we've missed him massively. 36 points now, not a classic, but who cares. Back-to-back wins and clean sheets. Well done to Javi and the boys!
Blinding result. When we will learn to start with 2 up top? We have looked substantially better everytime we change to it mid game. Glad West Brom will finally get out of this league and back into obscurity where they deserve to be.
First time we’ve won 3 home games in a row in the Premier League. Troy, who rumour back in January would have you believe could have been lining up for today’s opponents, has now scored for us on his 50th, 100th, 150th, 200th, 250th and now today his 300th appearance for us. Sorry. Only just noticed this stat has already been posted.
