Nights like these make all the sh**ty games worth it. Absolutely buzzing, what a great way to start the week!

Full credit to Gracia, defensive shape was excellent. Team shape overall was good to be honest, Zeegelar and Janmaat were always hugging the touch line. Great to be able to clearly see his identity and tactics already. Something that was missing under Walter and late Silva era. The team FOUGHT tonight and that's beautiful. Naively parked the bus second half but he'll learn.

Karnezis has shown he is a perfectly capable back up to Gomes but he'll have harder nights.

Janmaat is still suspect defensively, falls asleep far too often but is a great asset going forward. Bloody brilliant goal!!

Zeegelar CTRL C & CTRL V apart from the goal bit.

Holebas surprisingly disciplined, good job as centre back which I did not expect.

Prodl back to something like his commanding best. although he had no forward to mark, Hazard is a tricky customer and he done well to keep out a fresh Giroud.

Mariappa was fantastic tonight for me. Got some excellent tackles in.

Doccoure started sloppy, gave the ball away a few times but instrumental in some of the goals and done a Kante on Kante!

Capoue for me was still annoying for large parts but marginally less so. I have to say he ended the game well, got tackles in, actually sprinted a few times. Don't want to him start too much but everyone else is saying he was great so maybe I'm wrong this time.

Richarlison was back to his best today. A live wire all 60 minutes and came up against on the world's best defenders in Azpillicueta and gave a good account of himself. Impressing the Chelsea scouts maybe?

Deoulefu MOTM. Electric, looks to run forward every time he gets the ball, decision making occasionally questionable but you can see his footballing brain is there and not sure what the one lung thing is about!? He busted it for his goal late in the 80th minute!!

Pereyra finally showing us all what we wanted!!! The player we thought we had signed, great play with Janmaat for his goal and excellent finish. Composure on the ball is 2nd to none, never looks worried.

Deeney with a real captains performance, no longer a goal threat I must admit but created space for others, won a header and was much more confident after his penalty. That scuff when he was open from the corner was poor!

Have to be honest, Chelsea weren't anywhere near their best, the players clearly want Conte gone, the no striker / false 9 thing hurt them and they had 10 men for large parts but I thought we stifled them well and even when they had 11 men we had most of the ball for the first 18 minutes.

Great to be looking up again and hopefully with the likes of Femenia, Hughes & Chalobah to return, the team can only get better. Play like that most weeks and relegation worries will be a distant memory.

    Silva who?

Brilliant night. Feels like a long time since I last enjoyed a match that much!

Front to back I thought we were superb.

Capoue was majestic. Who did Javi have to kidnap to get him to play that well on a cold February night?!

Richarlison looked his old self again and will score again very soon.

Prodl also looked much better as well. I worried about him vs Hazard but he dealt with him well.

Doucoure had a good second half. Loved watching him close to his best again.

I’ll admit I wasn’t overly enthused by Deulofeu but boy was he good. Seriously impressive from the lad and I’m delighted he got the goal he deserved.

Quite unbelievable - am slightly drunk emotionally and now intend to get very drunk physically before going to work to chat to the load of chelski boys there.

    Different team, happy days

This is what a Chelsea fan said when they saw Babayoko starting the match...

    "Bakayoko?

He must have a video of Antonio shagging a donkey or something. How does he keep getting picked after recent performances."

Personally, I’m a little disappointed that we didn’t take the opportunity to boost our goal difference further.

Chelsea were there for the taking.

Anyone have a link to the goles.

We had a load of tame shots on goal and a few skewed shots for which we should've done better. If our players had their confidence we could've hit 8 or 9.

Chelsea didn't have a shot that I can remember until the 70 something minute and then they scored.

Wow, just back from the game and who, what a night. Outstanding effort apart from a slightly dodgy 10 minutes leading up to the Chelsea equaliser.

Organisationally we were spot on with a back five when Chelsea came forward, but when we attacked the wing backs were ready to support out wide. Deeney led the line well, with excellent support from Richy and Deulofeu. Doucoure was excellent and Capoue had one of his best performances in a Watford shirt, really put a shift in. Janmaat was also very good and capped a fine performance with the winning goal. Deulofeu and Pereyra's goals were quality and really put the icing on the cake.

So, who's looking forward to a fourth consecutive season in the premier league.

Great night, I'm hoarse from celebrating. Chelsea were dire, Conte is a dead man walking. Player power from the Chelsea players is shocking, but thanks for the 3 points lads.

Was a bit concerned about going to West Ham Saturday but now I can't wait to get on the train. I think we can spank them.

I fancied us tonight and thought we'd win this one. Deulofeu is amazing in a Watford shirt. Shame he won't be with us longer than this season, but like I said previously, he's worth the admission price alone.

As predicted Mike Dean made his controversial call with the penalty. To be fair I thought it was nailed on seeing it live, but I heard on the radio on the way back it was a dive and they were giving him plenty of stick for it as well.

You have to enjoy nights like tonight, as they don't come along too often.

It is a massive help in our survival push. 10 points from the last 12 games. The landscape is very different now. This will give us a lot of confidence and I'm really pleased for Gracia. He's such a nice guy and you want people like him to be successful, and an added bonus, he actually wants to be at the club.

Already we look like a different team. Having a proper coach means we are organised at the back. We have a trick or two and he can make sound tactical changes. It's not just one trick fits all.

Now on to West Ham, and we have every chance of getting a result there too.

You know you've hit football utopia when you can't even celebrate the 3rd and 4th goals because you are on the floor crying with laughter at what you've just witnessed from your bloody amazing team.

    This was me tonight.

Amazing how quickly Gracia has turned it around. Hope Conte doesn't get sacked over this though, the Chelsea player power in getting managers sacked is a joke.

Prodl and Mariappa were absolutely superb. They’d probably have won my prize of man of the match any other week, except this one.

Doucoure was magical. He will go to a top, top club in the summer. Deulofeu was brilliant on the break, and worked so hard. And Deeney did some brilliant hold up play and won nearly every ball, when only a few weeks ago he couldn’t win a header to save his life. And last but not least, Capoue worked as hard as ever, but he had end product, concentration and used his brain throughout. I don’t think he’s played that well since we beat Arsenal at the Emirates.

The real credit for the win however goes to Gracia. We looked solid, worked hard and most of all had a clear plan for the game. He’s made us a much cleverer side so quickly: we now know when to press/ sit back and when to take risks/ play it safe. We look so much more balanced.

I’d rather play defensive football with a plan, than attacking naive football that loses us needless football games.

Chelsea were poor, but Snake would have lost today 3 or 4 nil.

It's not even a debate on the penalty. Have you ever heard a keeper say that it was a penalty?

Now being reported on SSN about Deeney's gesture. Definite ban incoming as he's admitted doing it in response to the transfer speculation.

It wasn't a dive. Courtois was out of control, no where near the ball and took Deulofeu's left leg out with his shoulder. Nailed on penalty. Plus, if the keeper doesn't touch him the ball is probably still there to be played as the knock past him is pretty deft.

Loved Deulofeu’s celebration - the face of a man who’d given absolutely everything. And some are criticising Richarlison, but personally I want to see players show emotion and a bit of personality. I think Gracia’s managed him really well so far in terms of minutes.

They will really throw the book at Deeney now after his recent trangressions. 6 - 8 game suspension? Will we see him in a Watford shirt again?

I thought it was a penalty at the time, but they are saying Watford are cheats on the radio. Courtois has accused Deulofeu of diving as well.

Been away from the forum for a few days whilst exploring Iceland...

Tonight I watched the game in a bar on Laugavegur in central Reykjavik - after 5 minutes of yelling at the game on TV, the whole pub was converted to supporting Watford with Helguson chants ringing out whilst it was blowing a snowy blizzard outside! Best game I’ve ever witnessed without being at the game, so memorable.

Won’t go into detail about the game - plenty of people have done it perfectly already.

A lot of the players took the first step in turning their individual seasons around tonight. Capoue, Janmaat, Zeegelaar. To a man they were outstanding.

Well that was out of the blue (or yellow)

3 great goals and a very good all round display..

Must admit at 1-1 I thought here we go again as Chelsea were putting the pressure on but we founds life again.

Generally looked very motivated and didn't give Chelsea room to play.

Just got back. Oh my G O D...

What a performance! Great from Kick off to the end. Even the six minutes of added time didn’t bother me as we were in total control of that game. Great attitude from everyone and I was quite far up on the EJ but did Deeney double swear? Doesn’t matter because after the tripe we’ve endured at home this season I would watch that all night.

Decoure was superb tonight overall. A bit sloppy in places but can’t fault his overall performance. Deeney put on a captains performance and took his pen well. I don’t think it was s penalty but screw it so many of those have gone against us this season it’s nicr to get one.

Krank the Greek god was brilliant again. Good distribution and command of a well marshalled defence. Had no chance with their goal but for once I felt we were not done and it was so nice being proved right.

Gracia got the tactics spot on and was great to see his passion from the touch line and urging us on. Most noise I’ve heard from the 1881 in a while too. Chelsea did have 10 but played like they had 9 in places, they reminded me of us under Slither.

Shout out to the fans tonight, great support against a side we generally struggle against but tonight we proved how good we really are, injures or not. So pleased to be a Hornetta tonight and I hope you all feel the same. Wear that yellow shirt with pride guys because they earnt that after working hard.

Richie did well too but I think he needs a goal. He seemed upset but I don’t know why. Oh and Pereya... see? You can play well. Stunning goal and great way to end a brilliant night.

    West Ham... we’re coning...

Well happy! A gutsy performance tonight that wouldn't have happened under Silva post-Everton. Loved the way we got stuck in, harrying the Chelsea players on the ball - lead to Bakayoko's two bookings. Didn't drop our heads when Hazard scored - again we'd have gone on to lose under Silva.

Not a little quality to match the guts as well! Intelligent passing and positive forward play.

    We're staying up!
