If he's back soon, I predict he'll be better than any January signing we make (before he get injured again 3 games later):
Hopefully he’s back soon. I must say his injury is indicative of our club’s attitude towards information on injuries ie. there isn’t any.
Optimism from above posts crushed if this is true. Maybe why the club's looking at more midfielders? Not according to Giraldi, of course: https://twitter.com/hoganwatford/status/952933520292360193
F**king hell. March!? From training by end of Christmas. Absolute f**king joke of a medical team and for such astute football owners to not see there's a huge problem is really worrying.
Training by the end of March probably means ready to return to competitive football by May. Which in itself is pointless. He might as well go on holidays early and return ready to go for pre-season.
Gutted for him as he'll miss out on a World Cup place now. What a shambles, they said training by the New Year originally after his op!
I think I said back when he got injured we normally get plenty of career ending injuries for players over the years. Or injuries that dramatically affect their careers at crucial times. This could be another. Wright, Williams, Johnson, Noel-Williams and maybe even Marlon King to some extent all spring to mind immediately.
I'm no physio but I really doubt that golf is a great sport for someone just recovered from/recovering from a knee injury.
Is it wise to publicly announce you're a midfielder down for the rest of the season during the January transfer window? Seems like it would give any seller more leverage.
Fair point. But the communication of all injuries is utterly woeful. Even Silva seems to not know what is going on (although he may be telling porkies of course). Hughes was supposed to be available 2 weeks back. What is it now? 2 more weeks? 2 months? End of season? Personally I think they don’t issue estimates because they don’t want to be shown up as any more incompetent as they already have been by our absurd recovery times. If De Bruyne played for us and suffered that tackle by Puncheon how long do you think our medical team would have had him on the sidelines for compared to City’s 3 days?
Chalobah was on the bike a couple of weeks ago, surely it can't take that long to get him running again?
Well he can only cycle his legs round and round now. Makes running really difficult. Give the bloke some time.
Are people really taking someone on Twitter saying he saw a comment (presumably from someone on that Facebook group run by Richard 'Shorty' Short) as gospel?
I am wondering if the scar on his knee is from the operation, or the incident. It does not look like a very "clean" cut, so assume it is from the incident, and must have been traumatic for him to say the least,
Tell us what he says then Wim....well, tell us if he says when he's back. That's what we're interested in....
