Yeah, just imagine if those damn Pozzo's knew what they were doing! Fancy merely just providing the club with one of it's most iconic 10 second spells ever; 2 trips to Wembley; automatic promotion; 3 consecutive seasons and counting of premier league football; bringing in some of the best players that have ever played for the club and will go on to be sold for £50m+; appointing one of the most sought-after head coaches in Europe; and developing what was essentially a 3-sided building site into a smart, modern, attractive stadium both inside and externally, with future expansion in the very near pipeline.

Pozzo's - hang your heads in shame! And whilst in Burnley, have a word with Barry Kilby and Mike Garlick about how to run a club properly:rolleyes::)*

*No offence to any Burnley fans reading this - I know it was the beeb talking nonsense as usual!

I'm fat and thought it would keep me warm, however, I now realise that I just have more surface area exposed to the elements. After all the eating and drinking I did to achieve it I could bring myself to diet so just bought a big coat.

    This blows my mind.

How on earth do they name an obese Watford 11 and not name Troy, who’s our only player with a BMI that is likely in triple figures.

I appreciate your point of view.

However, in my opinion, it is some of the laziest, ill-informed tosh of the the highest order of utter that man can achieve in this world.

I'd rather have Silva right now, but have to say that I would rather have had Dyche than Quique and Mazzarri (far better manager playing far more positive football than both).

I get that people don't like him or the football they percieve him to embody; its the allergic reaction to him turning out to be a decent manager I find a little sad, as in "I can't believe some sad ****er said that".

The argument has been had and ignored enough times, so if anyone wants to rerun it, please feel free to use the search....

It's a well known biological fact that arctic subspecies are bigger than their southern counterparts derived from a size/surface area/ heat loss consideration. Put another way - there're a lot of fat bast.rds in Burnley ...

Dyche wasn't the right man for the Pozzos and would likely have failed under their regime in very short order. Probably would have set his career back if he'd stayed with us, compared to what he has achieved.

Dyche 4 Burnley was made in heaven, especially sticking with him after relegation. I am not at all unhappy with the Pozzos, but would relish seeing a coach/Gino relationship with the same loyalty and faith that Burnley have seen in the last five years. Can't see it happening at the moment, though I appreciate that Gino's methods have their own advantages.

I think it's fairly obvious that Gino Pozzo and Sean Dyche would never have been a match made in heaven whatever's gone on in the interim. Fair play to Dyche though. Boy done well.

Did anyone else here go to the epic 7-4 win a while back? I remember the half time score being 4-3. Anyone who thinks that can happen tomorrow put a tenner on it...

I was also there and the half time score was actually 5-4!

Wayne Brown, Micah Hyde, Neil Cox and 2 goals from Michael Chopra before half time and then 2 more for Chopra in the second half. Gareth Taylor scored a first half hat trick for Burnley as well.

You're a fan of Dyche, no problem with that. As far as English/British coaches go, he's one of the best. But - imo - that's because the cupboard is bare. I think he's a good coach, nothing more. I certainly don't begrudge him his success at Burnley.

I'd have taken Dyche over Mazzarri, 1000%. But Dyche's current reputation is far better now than it was at the start of 2015/16 season. Are you really saying that - as a replacement for Jokanovic - you'd have preferred the man that had just relegated Burnley? I'm sticking with Flores on this one. It tailed off poorly under him, but he kept us comfortably in the division and gave us a cup semi-final.

As for lazy and ill-informed - I'm not sure how you can say that Dyche is nothing other than a defensive, pragmatic coach - whereas Silva already has a reputation for nice-on-the-eye, attacking football (of which we're seeing at Watford immediately).

All comes down to preference - and I much prefer our current teams style under Silva to any team that Dyche has ever managed, regardless of club. If he finishes higher come May, fair play to him. I'll still prefer to watch a team of entertainers over a team of spoilers (and as mentioned in my previous post, it's far easier to produce the latter).

All good debate though. If we all agreed, it'd be boring:).

Let it snow, let it snow....come 3pm I bet some players will be wishing tight-fisted Burnley could have "filled in" those 4 corners at Turf Moor.

The biting wind doesn't half whip through those gaps in the depths of winter.

Chilly Saturday afternoon at Turf Moor?

We're not winning this. Not a chance. It's like f**king kryptonite for Pozzo Watford.

Compare with the match day squad from this game last season

Heurelho Gomes, Craig Cathcart (Juan Camilo Zúñiga ht), Sebastian Pr*dl, Miguel Britos, Nordin Amrabat (Isaac Success 58), Étienne Capouè, Valon Behrami, Roberto Pereyra (Kenedy 75), José Holebas, Troy Deeney, Odion Ighalo. Subs not used: Costel Pantilimon, Younès Kaboul, Ben Watson, Adlène Guedioura.

What a difference a season makes, even with our continuous mountain of injuries

Apparently, according to latest forecast, it won't be too bad....just a mixture of "driving sleet and rain":)

Hope the weather will be even WORSE when Stoke visit Turf Moor on Tuesday night.

It's snowing well now, real proper big flakes. Beginning to worry they might call this match off. Stupid health and safety, and all that tosh.

Think the snow/sleet showers will be intermittent up until 6pm. Saw the guy playing on a snow-covered golf course near the ground (BBC Football Focus).

Thanks for the advice RC, I did go to the link last night, but the hand pump ales are a bit weak for my taste. They don't have Abbot here in The Boot, but the Pendle Witch is a very acceptable alternative. (5.1%).

Isaac 'Champagne' Success back on the bench.

    Looking suitably sheepish I hope.

Just read on another forum that the last time Watford won at Burnley, Sean Dyche was playing for the Hornets? Cannot be true, surely? The 7-4?

Success must have been training well to make the bench so quickly. Although we are running short of players.

Big test for Zeeglaar today as Ive not seen him defend in a back 4 yet.

We won there 3-2 the following season - a couple of our rare successes in Lancashire over the past 50 years. I believe Dyche played in that one but not the 7-4.
