Deeney sub killed us, pushing Richy up top meant Holebas was up against two. Positives to take, we looked superb in parts. Hope Pererya is OK.

The team who hadn't scored a goal for 8 games beat them last week. They are a shadow of 'the champions' from last season.

We blew it, plain and simple.

Seeing Watson on the bench pisses me off. Let alone playing him

Proof if ever that Watson needs to stay on the bench.

We need to learn to take our chances and be more clinical, we do that today and it would have been game over before the Chelsea fight back which was inevitable as they are a class team and current champions!
Chin up lads! Lets pick ourselves up and go smash Stoke next week!

Says it all when your disappointed to lose 4/2 at the Champions.

    Very good attacking performance.

They have a habit of scoring late against us too!

Watson should never play for us again. Offers zero. Ridiculous substitution

They had gone in the brain at 1-2 and were absolutely there for the taking.

    3 points chucked away

Shame we weren't braver at the end, the game was on a knife edge. Their defence looked broken and knackered. We invited them onto us instead of exploiting their desperation and it undid what was otherwise another excellent performance. Mapps has made a superb resurgence and Doucore and Clevs were excellent again.

Gutted :( Hope Pereyra is OK, we looked unstoppable with him on the pitch.

So frustrating. All Watson did when he came on was try and kick Hazard and he wasn't even very good at that.

Amazing desire and a fantastic 25 minutes of football where we could have been out of sight.

Poor decision to take Deeney off for Watson as it invited pressure. I genuinely believe we would have won that if Gray came on instead.

At points we looked absolutely brilliant. Couldn't believe it was Watford.

Cannot begin to fathom what Will Hughes must be doing in training for Watson to get a spot on the bench ahead of him.

As has been said the sub changed the game for us, everyone's allowed to make mistakes. First Silva slip up and I guarantee you he will learn.

It's gutting now because at 2-1 we looked like we would make it 3-1 and that would've been the game but bigger picture is we've only lost to Man City & Chelsea this season, very proud.

Agreed, but all teams miss chances. If we didn’t go for the negative substitution when it was completely unnecessary, and bring on a player who would struggle in the championship we could’ve created more chances to finish.

Deeney had a non existent first but I thought he was very influential in the second, to haul him off for Watson is criminal.

Let's take stock. Should have won. Silvas subs are not the problem. The players cant defend crosses for whatever reason. Burnley will score three or four against us. We set ourselves to take on Chelsea at Stamford bridge and should have achieved 3 points but for misses from Richie. Worst bit about the game is Pereya looked like he done his knee again.

I wonder if Pereyra is gone in the head? That's the second time now he's gone in for a combative shoulder-to-shoulder move (Liverpool home and Chelsea today) and immediately pulled up and asked to come off. Is his knee made of glass? Or has he just been psyched out by the whole injury?

So unlucky. Yes, we could dwell on some misses and mistakes but I love our skill, effort, organisation and attacking play. Proud of them all. We are going to have a great season

    Proud of the team.

As I'm sure with many of you,I feared we would rue those two or three great chances. So we did.

Nor sure how Rudiger didn't receive a second yellow.

Gods against us this week when they favoured us last.

    I hope RP is ok.

    RIP twig.

If results had stayed the same as they were at 85 minutes against Arsenal and Chelsea we’d have got 2 points from the fixtures. Instead we got 3. A really great week of football overall.

Watson looked off the pace once he came on, could really tell he's had no game time. Deserved a point if Richarlison had put 1 of those chances away we could of been in dreamland. Expected nothing so coming away with nothing is not to disheartening, Silva should've gone for it but if your going to make a mistake better making against a free three points I guess.

Hard to be critical after that performance, but defensive substitutions gave them the momentum.

What a game though. Competing with the big spenders. Midfielders were immense (apart from poor Watson).

    Didn't take our chances.
    They score
    1 great goal
    1 gift
And 2 from crosses from the right wing.

So main concerns, defending crosses and taking our chances. Apart from that we looked good and the score line looks flattering to Chelsea.

I also think after last week's cameo by Deeney that it was the only decision to start Deeney but in all honesty I think he is better as an impact player from the bench as his fitness levels are not up to scratch and he fades, maybe that will get better with more starts. But yes he is great at bullying defenders and has good hold play.

I think that’s the point - we can hurt teams when we attack them, but are not great when we invite teams on to us. Which is what we did

I'm not sure what Silva was doing there. If Deeney was knackered then a simple like for like sub would have been the right decision.

    Proud of the boys though.

We blew that today, really disappointed in a few of Silva's decisions in the second half. Losing Pereyra was huge, and putting Watson on for Deeney when we should have been going for it was frankly mystifying. Holebas left too exposed by moving Ricky up front. We're a great side when we play to our strengths but I feel Silva was happy to hold for the draw and it cost us. But still, we have a team to be proud of this season and we can far this year

To feel so gutted to lose a game by two late goals to the champions of England on a ground we’ve never won at in the top flight shows just how much progress we are making this season.

Our awful finishing apart, there was a twenty minute spell just after half-time where our football, our passing, movement and positive attitude was as good as I can remember for a long long time.

If either Richarlison, Carrillo or Kabasele’s easier-to-score-than-miss headers had gone in, I believe we have won today.

But on another day they will. And we will come again.

We threw that away. So disappointing how the game ended. We had them on the rack just after half time and missed probably the easiest chances you'll ever see.

You have to take chances against this type of opposition, still we had done enough to earn the draw, but we just cannot defend crosses. It's ridiculous how often we conceded this type of goal. We have to invest in the central defence. Kabasele and Mapps are not good enough and Britos is a liability. Why do that stupid chip which led to their 4th goal and it looks now like a heavy defeat.

I think the tactical change to bring on Watson was a poor one. He is nowhere near the level of the others, and made silly mistakes. We wilted badly in the final 10 minutes.

Finally John Moss was dreadful for us today. He made a mistake for the corner for their first goal. He saw so many things with a blue tint. Happily books Fermenia for kicking the ball away, but doesn't do that to Hazard who did the same thing and the Chelsea fans even held on to the ball, which wasted a lot of time. He was like that throughout.

It was a missed opportunity today, and our weakness at the back cost us the game, after what was a fantastic performance overall.

Not sure how the hell we lost that! We should have be 4-1 up, Richarlison will be kicking himself tonight. I thought we out played them for long periods of that game.

Oh well, on to next week.

I can't remember Carrillo's - when was that? And that's a tad unfair on Kabasele who was coming round the back and had a lot to do with that ball.

Excellent performance today. We really looked top level for 70 minutes, so disappointing to capitulate at the end. No doubt the withdrawal of Deeney hurt us. Carillo never really got in to the game so when the skipper went off it was poor Richarlison on his own trying to win the ball. It definitely pushed us back.

But the defeat is a lot easier to stomach on the back of a great performance like that

Just leaving now feeling very down. Played well overall and at least deserved a point from the first 70 mins. Chelsea fans acting like Moran’s rubbing my face in it...

I’m quite angry too and feel very frustrated after the subs and formation. After Watson came on, the game plan changed and Chelsea smelt blood. Morale dropped quite far after their third goal and their fourth was the bitter pill of not taking chances.

Still love Silva but he needs to find a formation and stick with it. Gray probably could of done better than the limp Deeney today. He is my fave player but we needed pace and knocking it back to the wing and going backwards for periods.was disappointing.

Still shows how far we have come walking away from Stamford Bridge thinking we should of drawn or even won.

Overall though, really really gutted. I think I need a hug
