Even without a midfield, Chelsea are still formidable. I saw parts of their game last night, and they were still good enough to score three against Roma.

Morata is back on the scene, so they will be strong, whoever they pick.

We have loads of confidence right now and we should give them a game. Hopefully we'll do well, but it's still a "free hit" match as far as I'm concerned.

The have a ropey defence at the moment but Hazard is a game winner all by himself when the mood takes him.

It is a free hit game - Chelsea have nothing to lose and might as well give it a good go.

Not sure if anyone’s mentioned this already, but I reckon this is a free hit game.

Whoever coined the term 'free hit' in footballing terms should be shot.

Chelsea fans aren't confident about this one with all their injuries.

Also, free hit? Pffft, most important game of the season if we have any ambitions to finish in a European spot.

    Chelsea 1-3 Watford

    Grey own goal

    Kiko
    Richarlison
    Deeney

Spend the rest of Saturday sitting nicely in 3rd spot.

"Free hit" is almost an anagram of "Ready-made excuse for when we lose". Almost.

There's no "free hit" games. If we were having this fixture on the last day of the season and needed to win to either stay up, or get into Europe, would we still call it one?

We're in the same division, it's not like we're a plucky 4th tier side going up against all conquering European champions.

They've had a mixed start by their standards and are hit with injuries. We've had a good start by our standards, and some injuries. You'll always get sides that are better than you, but that's part of it, we can feasibly win this on Saturday.

No game is a free hit, but as with the Man City game I wouldn't get too disheartened if Chelsea turned on the style and beat us.

They faced a real tough opposition last night in Roma and that coupled with the injuries could mean we stand a great chance of getting a result, but it could just as easily go the other way.

One thing is for certain: I doubt we've ever been so confident going into a Chelsea fixture, and that applies to players, staff and fans.

I had a gun pointed in my face in Tenerife after getting caught exiting some birds hotel room ... The guard wanted me to pay for the night but in reality he was just jealous as she'd already fcked him off ....

Anyway I paid nothing and I'm still here so no big deal

Hmm, was it really 'pointed in your face'? That sounds like quite an unprofessional reaction to the scenario you're describing.

Yes ... about two inches from my nose.

I remember thinking 'I bet it's not real' ..... but it probably was, a few days later one of the brits I met told me he was shot at while taking a short cut over a building site.

I had a machine gun pointed through an open car window at my head at a road block in Morocco just after crossing over the border from Algeria.

Had armed guards on a coach trip to Cairo once. At a toilet stop the armed guard took a slash next to me. Judging by his aim with his **** whilst weeing I would imagine any ambush and we would've been in trouble.

The day before we were due to travel back from Siem Riep to Phenom Pehn the train got blown up so we had to take a taxi .... we got back ok but the one following was shot up as the driver tried to avoid the bribes by running a checkpoint. A Swedish girl in our party was hit (by glass I think) and luckily her injuries were not life threatening.

I once had my own personal armed guard, on a business trip to Russia after the collapse of communism early 90s, westerners were being kidnapped by the emerging Russian mafia so the company I worked for arranged protection. Tough nut ex KGB had lost his job when communism collapsed and now earned his dough body guarding. F'ing great pistol under his suit jacket. Russia was a scary place back then.

    Remember that
Chelsea had a tough game in the champions league. Being fresh is going to help.

Good news - Lawro predicts us to lose (naturally and probably fair enough in a way...) so we stand a decent chance of getting something.

Mind you he is very dismissive of our wins - only beaten "average" sides on the road (who he did predict to beat us..) and Arsenal just handed as the win whereas Chelsea won't be so kind (maybe a fair point.)

I had my scarf nicked at Plymouth in 69 by a big Janner with fists like ham hocks. Does that count?
