Strangely Palace beating them the other day won't have helped us. No doubt Conte will have them fired up for a big improvement, could we face a backlash? Also until we don't know about the Richarlison situation yet.
I agree with Otter,Chelsea will have received a kick up the bottom. I'm amazed Morata is under consideration. He could do more damage to his hamstring if he returns too soon. Chas and Onion will be under the microscope too but good that the matter has ended.
This will be the second time in a year that we’ve taken on the current PL champions with us higher in the table than them!
Could someone change the title to 21/10/17? We don't want people turning up next Wednesday only to be disappointed.
The only team more dislikeable than Arsenal in the Premier League. Let's hope we put this lot to the sword as well. Their fans are a horrible mix of nasty right wing ****s and Johnny Come Lately bandwagon jumpers. That's before you get to into them as a club buying trophies, charging extortionate prices and being an example of the worst of modern football. Second only to Luton in my hate list.
I’d take your Chelsea and raise your Palace and West Ham. I don’t like Chelsea either but there aren’t many teams in the modern era who can’t be accused of ‘buying’ the trophies they’ve won.
Played 3 of the big 6 1 win 1 draw 1 lost (ok stuffed) As above loosing to palace won’t do us any favours , as much as I liked it, Deeney’s comments about going in hard won’t help (every hard man in th league is going to be up for it now), being 4th above Chelsea won’t help Can’t see them underestimating our team on Saturday Heart 3:1 to us Head 3:1 to them
If we win this lump on a top 4 before the odds fall through the floor. If we lose or draw, doesn't matter still be top 10
I expect a backlash from them and I expect it to be a tough game. However. Our team this season - every time we are written off we come back. Gomes - I thought should've been dropped for the Arsenal game. Saved us twice in the second half. Britos - I thought should've been booted out. Marked Lacosette out of the game Saturday. Holebas - I thought would struggle to play regularly and his attitude would see him the wrong side of Silva. Wrong again. Richarlison - he's played half a season already in Brazil so needs a rest. He keeps on going. Wrong again. Deeney - sell him. Past his best. Isn't up to the job in a pass and move team. Game changing effort as a sub. This team is driven and is commited to fighting til the final whistle. I can honestly see us going to the Bridge and getting something from the game. Head and heart say 2-2. This team has momentum and long may it carry on!
I get it but I don't hold with this back lash stuff because that suggests we don't really deserve to be where we are. That suggests if Chelsea really what to they can take us to the cleaners. Not this Watford side. We might win we might lose, but Chelsea will have to work their socks off.
They are complete, total and utter ****s to a man (and woman, I'm not sexist) for sure. But Liverpool top my premier league hate list by far.
I am looking forward to this one after the Arsenal match I was silently thinking to myself that I would take a point from out next two fixtures I know its cliché but against any of the top 6 it is a bonus game for us and again we go into this game with no pressure on us and the confidence of our last win. I think Chelsea will not be looking forward to an early kick off against us a few days after a champions league game, keep it tight and look to steal the game towards the end my best mates a Chelsea season ticket holder and he said that they seemed to get tired against Palace as the game went on and they couldn't deal with the directness and speed of Zaha well I am sure Carrillo and Richarlison can give them something to think about come Saturday.
Add Tottingham to that list. Their fans are some of the mouthiest, self absorbed tossrs up there with Man Utd fans.
Go to Earl’s Court station, turn right and there is a big fullers pub which is decent and available to away supporters
I didn't. Read it again and you'll see my sweeping generalisation clearly split them into two dislikeable groups.
Agreed. Also not all teams react well to defeat. They may actually be disenchanted and uninterested in the game. Losing can break team spirit just as much as it brings teams together. We shall see the character of Chelski on Saturday but they will have to be on their game if they want to best our brave warriors.
Whilst I think there is probably no better time to play Chelsea, I would rather play them after 2 defeats then say a win run of 8 games, I do fear about our defending of set pieces especially corners. They could make nothing in open play but Silvas strategy on defending corners is a liability. Another goal conceded to one at the weekend & Chelsea go put one in. Fabergas was a scourge to us last season, I think if we can stop him and defend our set pieces we have a great chance. 0-1 Richarldson 94th minute
This is one of those games where I really don't know what will happen. Normally Watford away at Chelsea you would say, just focus on the next game, write it off and hope no-one gets injured. However we don't do "normal" at the minute and we are going to Chelsea for the first time realistically thinking, we might just get something. They will be ticked after losing to Palace and will want to rectify that result against us for sure. However they have to focus on Roma tomorrow which will be a tough game them. They then only have about 63 hours to recover before playing us. As much as they will want to put their result against Palace right, we have momentum as well. They last minute winner against Arsenal flipped a switched and you can hear it in the players voices post match. Silva told them at HT to go out and believe in themselves more and they did. In doing that, they won. I can see the boys being pumped up for this game and with a week to prepare, I generally think we will get something. However football is a funny old game and when Chelsea turn it on they have the ability and talent to wipe the floor with us. I really don't know what to expect because I can see us winning just as much as losing or drawing. I'm going to go for a Watford win though. With the momentum, the belief, a full week to prepare and Chelsea having a tough game tomorrow, they are there for the taking. Heart and Head - Watford 3-2 Chelsea
