https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/4231007/watford-lovre-kalinic-gent-marco-silva/ Alan Nixon from the Sun, usually very reliable. Timing would make sense after Gomes' display today
Erm no, our number one is still a terrific keeper who regularly keeps us in games that would be beyond us. Few of us have the same belief in Pantillimon and we need to consider the future.
£13million for Rui Patricio is too much but £10million for Kalinic is okay? I'd rather Patricio and I doubt an extra £3mil would end a deal for the Pozzo's. But i doubt that that is the exact reason. They must want more money or Patricio isn't interested.
It's the latter apparently. I can see Silva 'resting' Gomes occasionally if he has confidence in a number 2. Gomes made an error going after Saleh, but the defence were also at fault with Liverpool's 3rd.
Not really the most inspiring GK to be linked with, buts that's mainly because I know very little about him. However having done some research and translated multiple languages, I found out he was voted best GK in the Belgium league last season and also won Gent's player of the season award. What makes this accomplishment impressive is the fact that he only played half a season after joing Gent in January. Once I found this info out, I found an English version of this news here https://www.croatiaweek.com/croatias-lovre-kalinic-named-best-goalkeeper-in-belgium/ Having found out some info, watched YouTube videos and seen that FIFA have even heavily upgraded him (started FIFA 17 with a 74 ovr and 78 pot, now has 77 ovr and 80 pot), im beginning to think that this could be a shrewd piece of business. I am trying to find out more about him because my fear was we're replacing Pants with another version, however that fear is slowly beginning to change with what I'm reading about him. Edit: just found this beauty
A friend's brother's son who works at Esso said he'd boarded a plane at Brussels. Lovre is in the air ?
I'd rather a huge improvement on the goalkeeper position where this guy is possibly even a step down from Gomes
He is gk with top skills and quality, he just needs better league, and half season to gain confidence on top level. Tall, athletic, good 1 on 1, amazing reflex, very positive competitive character, real sportsman, i cant find him any negative side. He only lacks experience at top level football. He was considered best gk in Croatian league for years, 2 years ago his transfer to Aston Villa for about 7-8 mil euros failed because he didn't get work permit. Last season he went to Belgium and he was voted best GK of league, and that wasn't surprise for me. He really deserved way better carrier and club then he had so far..
Croatian players still need work permit, that transfer was done deal already just waiting for work permit, everyone thought he would get it, but he didn't.. I was surprised because usually all Croatian players going to EPL get work permit, but usually they have enough NT caps, Kalinic didn't have that.. I'm from Croatia, supporting Udinese and Watford. I think Udinese didn't have wise transfers from Croatian league so far, for example Kelava was really ****** GK, but Kalini* is worth, would like to see him in Watford.
Anderlecht, Trainer René Weiler preferred Pieter Gerkens above Adrien Trebel to replace Leander Dendoncker, who did not get into action by transfer. On the other hand, goalkeeper Lovre Kalinic was injured, so Yannick Thoelen was in the midst of the post. The weather pussy Nana Asare started the match like Danijel Milicevic. As a result, Dylan Bronn and Yuya Kubo disappeared from the bank. Google translate at its very best.....
