I think it's far more likely down to the fact that we just have a really average, slow, one dimensional squad, bar the likes of Pereyra and Doucoure.
ahhh some of you lot never learn. such bloody pessimism and the season has not even started yet. you must be a bloody miserable lot to know in real life.
It's realism, as opposed to the blind, ignorant optimism of some others. The fact is that we were awful last season and came as close to going down as you can without actually doing so, and so far we are yet to have remedied any of the painfully obvious flaws and defects in our playing squad. I like Silva but I think Alex Ferguson in his prime would struggle to get goals out of this side and if players aren't bought in to rectify that then we could be in big trouble.
yes and we still have bloody well ages until the window shuts. some of you must live in an absolute dream world. we have to take our time in the market, we will remedy the squad but it takes time. we cant just go around signing people willy bloody nilly. some of you need to get a sodding grip, either that or get on the phone to the Samaritans. pre season is long enough as it is without the sheer amount of mind numbing negativity on this forum.
Amrabat getting slated on Twitter again. I'm not even going to pretend I don't enjoy it at this point.
Sinclair is working hard. I wouldn't give up on him completely just yet. Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk
I suspect most on this forum would have thrown themselves in front of a high speed train if they had to watch us play league 2 football
Come off it, we finished six points clear of relegation and were pretty much safe with several games to go. It may not have been obvious because of who we were playing but we definitely took our foot off the gas.
I only get wound up by the same old names spouting the same old **** every week. We get it you think the team is ****, but change the sodding record already. I come on this forum with my sunny disposition and most of the time its like a bloody morgue. Cheer the **** up.
I just checked on Google route planner and it would take me 17 hours and 51 minutes to drive to Vicarage Road.. 1 day and 9 hours by overland public transport and 2 days and 19 hours to cycle there!
On the plus side, I'm at Torquay vs tranmere and just watched that fat ex scummer mcnulty get sent off!!
that's bull**** and you know it. the closest we could have been would have been goal difference. as it was we were 6 point off?
Lol .... the closest you can be to relegation and not be is winning 5-4 on penalties in a relegation play off with all else being equal.
We finished 17th, finish 18th and you are relegated. In terms of league position, again, we finished as close to relegation as you can without going down.
huh really? holy ****ing ****. I never realised how a league table actually works. thanks for explaining it! now where is that picture of the point and the arrow completely missing it....
Well you seem to have tried your very hardest to completely miss my original point so I presume you already have the bow in hand.
your original point being which one: 1. our squad is terrible 2. our terrible squad almost went down last season 3. our terrible squad is going to go down this season to be honest nath its pretty easy to lose your point when all it translate to on my screen is 'Negativity, Negativity, Negativity.' Its a shame because sometimes you make some really good points but they get lost in this tidal wave of monotonous doom and gloom.
I didn't say our squad is terrible at any point or that we are definitively going down, at all. I actually said our squad is average and our play is slow and one dimensional, which I believe are far points. Saying that, not long ago in the Merson thread I pointed out that we do have good options in midfield which I'm pleased about, but that I don't believe that they or the rest of the side can make up for our woeful lack of firepower if (and it is an if) we don't bring in suitable quality in that area, which will leave us with the very real prospect of relegation. To me that is realism, not simply negativity.
