I rate this transfer rumour... 1/10.

He's their captain; not out of contract; it's a sideways move; they probably pay more than we do (if Iturbe and Wilshere are anything to go by); he can communicate with his current manager; and finally, he's young, British and an established Premier League player so would cost a fortune.

Enough of this sensible post with sound logic.

Ignoring the highly unlikely probability of this move happening I hope this is the sort of deal we will be looking at in the summer.

I've heard he's allergic to bandstands surrounded by pensioners and wants out.

Absolutely the sort of player I want to see coming in. But as stated by others above I just cannot see it unfortunately.

Anyone who thinks this is a sideways move should take a look at where Bournemouth players train every day. Bleak.

Too English. If he changes his name to Stefano Cookerini I'll take him.

    Isn't Bournemouth's defence shart?!

Well he'll be used to being in a weak defence then.

Seems to be much better as a centre half than right back so guess it would depend on where we'd want to play him.

Probably won't come anyway - cannot see them selling to a rival.

If we are going to be sniffing round Bournemouth players I'd prefer it was Josh King that we were interested in.

Why would we want a defender from a team whose defence is probably as bad, most likely worse than ours? I don't get it!

9 clean sheets this season I'm sure I read earlier. Better than us. And the other week I saw him being linked with an England call up in one of the national papers, basically saying if Keane is contention he should be too.

I'm sure we'd follow tradition and play him at right back.

I think Bournemouths goal against figure is more to do with their style of play and general team shape than one player so I wouldn't be put off by that.

To be fair Deeney has been linked to an England call up on and off whenever he scores a goal, and England have had such notable caps as Nugent and Ricketts in the past, so I wouldn't hold onto those rumours as a hugely positive reason behind signing him.

Nah, 9 clean sheets from 34 games is good enough for England these days m8.
