Not a lyric from a tune by the Smurfs, but the 'brough midfielder. http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/04/1...mpton-among-three-clubs-keen-on-middlesbroug/
Good Behrami replacement, if he doesn't cost too much. He's got a good positive personality, works very hard and is very good against the top teams and breaking up the play. But, like Behrami, he's limited going forwards.
Would be happy with this. I'd imagine the club will see how Doucoure gets on in the holding role against some of the big boys before settling on any targets for the summer. Looks ideal for it with a little bit of tweaking, although it'd be a shame to stifle him going forwards.
I'm always slightly surprised we don't change personnel in midfield against the big boys. I think Behrami and Doucoure could work well together alongside just one of Capoue and Cleverley - it would certainly protect the back four better.
Anybody for George Friend? Injury hit season for sure, but he was comfortably the best left back in the Championship before that. We're pretty light in that position anyway, so we'll want depth.
i would like to sign George Friend , but with one proviso ; that he brings his son to club family days and every time a fan approaches him he points to his son and says in a Tony Montana accent " Say hello to my little friend ". If he refused to do that , I wouldn't sign him.
On the subject of Boro players, I've seen a lot of Boro fans say Fabio has been outstanding for them this season. Would be worth a punt as we badly need a back up LB/competition for Holebas
