No chance. We can sign better and he'd probably end up on the bench anyway.

We can snap him up when they are relegated.

I don't think many of us give a to55 about Bournemouth. There are certainly a few other clubs that I would like to see struggle rather than them.

They know their betters, and it makes them bitter. Understandable really.

This is a strange one as I can't see where he would fit in our side. Even as a backup player I couldn't really see him offering anything different or better than the players we already have.

Maybe the plan was to sign him and loan him back to Bournemouth for the rest of the season or something?

Hilarious to see their fans saying stuff like "Watford mirror everything we don't want to become as club" as if we are poorly run - despite how unbelievably far we've come in terms of infrastructure and financial stability - whilst they continue to haphazardly blow millions upon millions of pounds off the pitch on utter trash like Jordan Ibe, their team continue to throw themselves on the floor and cheat at every opportunity on the pitch, all the while playing in their Conference South stadium.

The worse thing is their defending!

Think its 12 times they've let in 3 goals - no wonder they put a bid for Ake..

Don't get me wrong, they've really pissed some money up the wall but we're hardly ones to talk with some of the signings we've made over the last couple of years.

Disagree and agree with this post! To be honest, we've spent just as much money on utter crap as they have. Jurado & Suarez to name just two. As for the diving, we need to get over that. There was a spell that when we played them every single game they'd get a dodgy decision but we're past that now and if anything they deserved to beat us both home and away this season.

Agree about their stadium and infrastructure though. The fact they have not developed much off the pitch compared to us makes us a bigger draw to players. If they went down, they'd find it more difficult to come back up than we would. So seeing that fan on their forum say we're everything that Bournemouth don't want to be makes me laugh, a lot. They'd love to have a stadium, fan base and training facilities like ours.

They have the money to improve the club as whole but it doesn't seem like they have. Even the minor things like changing rooms, press rooms etc. are a start and ours are fantastic.

I don't think Muff have any chance of staying up year on year unless they chuck money at the situation, so I don't blame them for doing it. For a small club (without the Pozzo factor) it's almost impossible to get decent players otherwise. There's bound to be expensive mistakes but there'll be enough successes to make the policy the right one.

I agree. They don't bother me at all although, as Nnnn has said, there are plenty of ours that can't stand the wee, diving ******s. In fairness, their statistically valid diving for pens. stats. didn't persist from the Championship into the Prem. That development has also coincided with injuries to Callum Wilson of course. The wee, diving ******. Personally, if we were to sign someone from Muff, I'd rather it was Eddie Howe than Harry Arter ... The points around them paying big bucks to improve their team (only) (as opposed to all of the infrastructure improvements that the Pozzos have brought to us as well as improving the team) are well made. They'll be dead jealous of all of that. Let's face it, they're just currently in a blip phase and when Howe goes (as he surely will at some point) it'll be time's up for them and thanks for the memories. We, however, are a medium-sized club with a bigger future as long as we keep the Pozzos. Meanwhile, I hear that Tom Daley's interested in one new facility they're planning ...

??? It appeared on the Muff Forum on 5 Feb. reporting on a report in the Sun on the same day. As far as I'm aware that was the first time it was heard of. We certainly hadn't heard about it during the window.

No surprise that some of the newer fans state "I don't have much of a problem with Bournemouth."

If you had been a fan as long as I have and knew the history betweem the clubs and the fans, then I think some of you might think differently. Reprehensible little club.

We have made some poor signings, but as an example Jurado and Suarez combined cost less than Jordan Ibe and they at least had some pedigree, albeit in a different country/league, whereas Ibe must have had about two half decent Premier League games in his career thus far and is clearly complete toilet.

In regards to their cheating they demonstrated this once again only a couple of weeks ago against us when one of their players attempted to clearly whack the ball in the net with his hand.

They're comfortably up there with Liverpool behind Luton in the pecking order for my most disliked clubs.

There's no way any muff player would get in our starting 11. Arter is mid table championship fodder and would love the chance too play at a proper football side like Watford. 15m is too much for a squad player though. Seeing as muff are cut adrift at the bottom we could get him for about 2m in the summer when they go down. Still don't think he's half good enough though, hardly scores and hardly assists.

Then the national media and the Muff forum neglected to report it for a whole five days and our forum neglected to report it entirely. Interesting ...

IMO Arter would be good HG signing for the squad. £15M is stretching it. In these crazy days someone might be prepared to pay that much but I hope it's not us.
