    Sky sources understand the completing of Mauro Zarate's arrival at Watford is being delayed until after tonight's Copa Italia game between Napoli & Fiorentina.

    Zarate got a straight red card in the last round of the cup against Chievo which resulted in a three match ban.

    Watford want him to serve one of those games by sitting out tonight's match as a Fiorentina player. Then he will have just two games to serve in England.

    It looks like the deal, a loan with option to buy, will be announced by the end of this week, meaning Watford's FA Cup game at Millwall would count as the second game of his ban.

    Apparently we are delaying him coming here so he serves his ban over there rather than with us, im pretty sure a similar thing happened with Okaka where he was suspended for his first Watford game.

    Looking forward to seeing him, sounds like he can frustrate and excite in equal measures but we have been desperately lacking someone who can do something unpredictable and open up a defence. I really don’t understand why there’s such negativity towards the deal before he’s even been given a chance to become a boo boy.
    Judging by the reaction of West Ham fans a lot seem to rate him and would have welcomed him back.
