Why only 2900? Isn't there going to be about 20,000 empty seats?

 

They only use part of the ground, one end and half of the sides I think with some scaffolding making up the other end (with the original end behind that unused)

I imagine it will look a bit silly

 

I've got spare tickets for the Jessica Ennis Stand, The Mo Farrah Curve and the Usain Bolt End.

 

Capacity is supposed to be 60k. Feels a bit naff that they're only giving away 3k to a relatively local team.

West Ham have 50,000 season tickets- many at £250 and if you take a kids one at £50 for the season you can upgrade to an adult no problem for certain games

Enjoy it-after all we taxpayers have helped them so much

So ridiculous they don't let fans know by email that they are being released.

I'm on holiday so haven't been checking the site as much, and so have just found out. Contemplating buying a couple of singles, but I wonder if they will let away fans stand and move around

 

I got an email on Friday telling me of the ticket arrangements. One email for this game and one for the Gillingham game.

 

Not fancying my chances at midday, if anyone has a spare Cat A they don't mind me using in the next 25 minutes or so drop me a PM!

 

Would help if the club were clear about what a 'limited number' actually is...

 

I think if you sign up for the email/newsletter, you'll get notifications but it's one of those things that you normally uncheck when you're registering on a website.

 

Just got my 2. Website seemed to take until a few minutes after 12 to lurch into life.

 

Im cat A and from 11.45am i keep getting this message:

Same as me as a Cat B. But then I kept clicking every 30 seconds or so and it let me through to the basket.

 

Not sure if anyone can read that.. but it basically said all tickets in this area are not available. How is this the case from 11.45am onwards and how come my brother could get his ticket AFTER this message came up for me. Utter shambles.

 

Now sold out.

 

I was trying before midday though. I would have got mine earlier but as I was planning to order two tickets together (bro is cat B) I thought id wait... but then noticed only single tickets available so went for it. It should have let me through before midday.

Pissed off to say the least. Guess I am watching it im the pub!

 

Clearly those tickets were in demand! Couldn't get my hands on one at midday. If anyone has a spare crop up please let me know. Gutted to miss out!

 

Bit peeved they gave us such a small allocation. Like the guys above, any word of a spare would be greatly appreciated.

 

Going to go next season when no one gives a **** about the tinpot Olympic Stadium.

 

In fairness to the club the system Ticketmaster provide is clunky and I think they have to take the whole lot off sale to change the permissions so they're available for Cat A & Cat B.

I don't know where the thing about singles came from either - I got two together at 12:11.

 

From this forum to be honest. I just took their word for it. I should know not to trust people on this forum

I did try earlier this morning and I had the same message. Granted I only tried once but oh well.

I've calmed down now. I'm sure we'll get spanked 5-0 and I'll be grateful!

 

I'm Cat C these days, if anyone knows of a spare going - I'd happily take it for this. Closest game to me these days.

 

Gutted, I guess I wont be waiting for my Category C friends anymore.
