I've just watched the match back and the TV pundits, Hoddle and a scouser (not sure who) were just screaming at Watford to move it forward faster and complimenting our play when we did. They can see in just one game what some of you lot cant see over half a season. We are just too slow, cumbersome tentative and too defensive. But these are the same players that got us to 7th at Xmas. But I don't see those players not trying. They are, but they are trying in the wrong ******* direction. That negative mindset since then has to be QSF's fault. There can be no other explanation.
Lame, boring, uninspiring, passive, every single boring word in the dictionary yet we weren't worse than Palace. Nyom had one of the worst games from a Watford player that I've ever seen. Jurado got an assist woooo!! Ighalo a passenger Ake dodgy Gomes saves the second that's the only place Wickham could go no idea why Pants is heading the other way. Got about 6 dislikes on my post saying we should sell Abdi yet think he was absolutely useless today. Flores is a goner me thinks yet all in all we're only two wingers short of being far better than them, Bolasie and Puncheon for Jurado and Abdi and we would've won that comfortably.
Berghuis showed more flair and desire in 20 minutes at West Ham, than the rest of our squad bar Deeney and Jurado have since Man City at home. Yet again he is nowhere near playing. The fact we are staying up says more about the overall quality of the Premier League than QSF's ability.
Palace the better more powerful and quicker side again.. Full backs poor and too slow in attack. Summed up our recent performances. Atmosphere seemed ok.
This is what Charlton did, not happy with mid table Premier League and decent cup runs they called for Curbishley's head and he went as being mid table wasn't good enough for them.. They regret it now being in league 1 next season.
I agree... They spent more than us and are below us and have no fa cup semi final. QSF has done a great job and so has Eddie Howe but some on here think that QSF should go.
Were we watching the same game? I saw him have a couple of fairly decent on target shots and dribble past Palace defenders several times. One superb pass right into the danger area and set up a very dangerous attack, which was unfortunate not to end up a goal. Unfortunately it was made straight to the Palace forwards. Guediora wasn't awful, but he contributed very little indeed.
Whilst I accept Anya has his limitations, he did give us an outlet with his pace and kept defenders busy. Our best form at the start of the season coincided with him playing regularly and since Quique ditched, him our performances have dipped alarmingly. Our most effective players should be Deeney and Ighalo but with Quiques obsession of packing the squad with defensive midfielders their danger is almost totally nullified. I could see Deeney leaving at the end of the season if we continue with this style of play. Palace have an average squad at best, but in Bolassie and Zaha they have two players who can create chances with their pace and trickery AND also score their fair share of goals. This is what we are lacking. Whilst I detest the bloke, Eddie Howe would have made much better use of the players in our squad. We need to get a manager in with a more positive attitude or I could see us doing a Villa next season.
Are you mental GF? He was woeful, I pooed my pants everytime the ball went near him. We were pretty pony today, first half was amazingly bad.

That's dedication for you, I don't think I could do it. Interesting points though, we do seem to favour the slow and predictable approach as opposed to quick and spontaneous.
Actually shocked that people think Nyom was remotely good. He was beaten every single time, his sense of positioning was awful, would lunge in here and there leaving a massive gap behind him. Worst player on the pitch by a country mile for me. Suarez's performance was a bonus though, clearly not an attacking midfielder but tidy and good burst forward, beat more men than Jurado did.
We were just poor. Another crap afternoon out at Wembley. Just seemed like a lack of passion and direction from the team. We only really played well for 10 mins. Some players need to take a long hard look at themselves. If you can't show passion in a semi final you shouldn't be playing
This is what Southampton did, big ambition, weren't happy settling for being safe, made the call to sack Adkins and brought in Pochettino.
I thought Nyom was one of our best players today. Fast, strong and got forward occasionally with some good crosses.
Nyoms cross caused about the only first half chance we had. This sort of post angers me. Ake didnt have a good game, but Nyom defended well today, I thought. But to pick on those two when they were up against excellent wide players in Zaha, Bolassie, Puncheon and Wickham is churlish considering we offered nothing going forward.
We played the worst of 2 poor sides kind of glad we lost Man U To good for us and palace at the moment Fans did us proud this time great atmosphere
Thought that was one of Nyoms best games in the last 4/5 months - the passion he showed tracking their two forwards back, even though he didn't have the pace, was fantastic That was Akes worst game in the last 4/5 months
The entire reason we are safe is because of Ighalo. Flores doesn't know any other way how to set us up to attack apart from hoping that someone scores a 4 yard tap in.
I agree. He chased back from the halfwayline (see what I did there), when about 3 or 4 metres to catch up, and made a goal saving tackle on the penalty spot. Great bit of play I thought.
lets be honest the best team won, we were woeful No pace at all in the team, none. Every time we eventually got the ball out wide Juarado, Ake, Abdi and Nyom were faced with two defenders. As much as i dislike Zaha he makes things happen, turns defences and causes kayos. We just weren't at the races, we had small spells when we looked decent but we just didn't have enough. On a side note if I were a Palace player i'd be looking for a new boot sponsor. The boots they wear make them fall over an awful lot.
As before, Palace wanted more and in the end deserved to win. Troy and Britos deserve some credit for today. The Spanish ones were just woeful.
If mid table in the Premier League and fa cup semi final are not good enough for some people then I doubt they were around during the dark days.
As much as I thought Jurado looked decent, he really should've tried to curl one in when Deeney set him up, his pass to Suarez took so long and was so obvious. Decision making lets him down time and time again. Also, Deeney's ecstatic celebration made me smile, love that bloke.
