    Does the 'edit post' button just not appear as it normally would? Next to reply, reply with quote etc.

    Yes this one. The button just doesn't appear.

    The link comes up with a message saying
    "The administrator has specified that you can only edit messages for 2880 minutes after you have posted. This limit has expired, so you must contact the administrator to make alterations on your message."

    2880 is the forum default, that's been changed now, you should be able to edit.

    Oh! well only a fiver for me, but as I said in my post above, even though I had The Argies in the sweep I wanted The Krauts to win. Actually I can't stand either of them, but a European win over the South Americans swung it for me.
