Hi wfc friends, i'm an Udinese supporter. Sorry for my bad english. Do you think that Pozzo means sport? POZZO IS NOT SPORT, you will see.
Whilst I accept your English is probably better than my Italian, and it may be a mistranslation, I think I speak for everyone when I say I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.
Pozzo wants only moneys. Every year he sells the bests and he buys unknown players... Ok we're a little city... but you know, when we can play champions league he has to buy someone that is known, no? Not Cristiano Ronaldo, obviously. BUT NON RENEGIE!!!!!!! We will never grow up! 120 years of NO CUPS!!! In all competition out of SERIE A we play with the reserves NO SPORT, only business!
I agree with you, since this evil took over our club, we have got rid of our 3 best players, Mariappa, Taylor and Loach. We have seen little to no new players coming in, and those that have, have all been unknown players from unknown clubs. Our former owner Laurence Bassini is still looking for a new club, maybe if you are lucky he will buy Udinese, he could take you great places. With your attendances you should be winning titles, not aiming to consolidate with Champions League qualification every year. Since the Devil arrived, I have seen very little sport, and I am sure that I won't see any, anytime soon, we have won nothing for at least 120 years, and I solely blame the Pozzo's. The worst part about this selfish family, is that they buy business's only to make profit, it makes me sick.
To be fair, have heard some awful things he's been up to behind the scenes. Guy sounds like a right ****
If we only ask "THIS YEAR WE MUST TRY TO WIN THE ITALIAN CUP" (that means 4/5 matches aginst de-motivated teams) all of the stuff and family answer to us "we are a little team, we have no chances" and then reserves! If someone try to dispute then Pozzo intimidates "I'm over. I leave Udine ad if i leave you will finish in 3rd division." So keep silence. Till he earns, he will never leave. 2 years ago when he sold Sanchez he promised us:" On Wednesday we will announce the new forward". We are still waiting this Wednesday. Then he canceled the presentation of the team cause he knew about our anger. We played against Arsenal with F..ing NEUTON!!!!!!!!!!!!! After 5 matches he disapeeard! is he still alive?
I'm not sure it's the Pozzo's fault that one of your players tripped over when through on goal or took one of the worst penalties ever is it?
I hear even in Italy they have trolls. He may be from the Italian equivalent from the Watford Observer comments section.
Yeah, only money. Thats why Pina/Pozzo team paid a 12M€ debt. That's why we bought second division player when we were on 2ºB, same on 2º... Thats why we hadnt sold Mikel Rico to athletic for 4M€, or Siqueira to Valencia for 6M€... I am sure that every Udine fan is sad because Udinese sold Alexis Sanchez for 40M€.
Scott Duxbury is one of the nicest men you will ever meet and will do very well at Watford. At West Ham he had to contend with Iceland, no-one could ever work with Kerry Katona and make it a success.
Unfortunately letitbe is expression of a not minimal part of the fans here in Italy: unsatisfied. They say "Pozzo sold players for XX millions, why he keeps the money instead of buying new great players?" IMHO they don't seem to realize that a team expenses and incomes are (by far) NOT only in players transfers. Expenses are mostly for wages and other manteinances. Pozzo keeps wages under strict cap for this reason. If a player has offers for a much higher wage, he's sold. Pozzo prefers to invest in scouting system and transfer of many players instead of a few "top players". Incomes come from transfers, TV rights, tickets and merchandising. As I said in another thread, Udinese has a minor share in Serie A TV rights. With a small stadium and a small city, income from tickets and merchandise is certainly by far less than in other big teams. So transfers money is probably simply Pozzo's mayor income source. When fans like that ask "What did Pozzo do with all the money from Sanchez etc?" simple answer is: "He paid the wages for Di Natale, Fabbrini and all the others, and the scouts to find the Sanchez of the future!" Oh yes, he also invested in WFC, and if he can lead it to Premier League that could be one of his best investments so far!
You are right, a team is very expansive, but when you earn 50/60 milion each summer and you must play champions league the question is different. The coach asks Pozzo to buy MACCARONE (free) and Pozzo buys Renegie from sweden at 31th of august after BRAGA....the situation is HILARIOUS. You know only a part of Pozzo's Lie
I guess its difficult for Watford fans to empathise with a view of a Pozzo-critic that is less than positive, because there has been little success here & anything that promises Premier League is likely to be welcomed with open arms. So whilst I can understand frustration from Udinese fans when they have been in the top division for so long and don't spend crazy money on Champions League players, we at Watford would, at the moment, be very happy with 10 years or more in the Premier League, even if we don't sign expensive players. But I agree that if we do go up & stay there for a few years, the inevitable 'where is the money' question will be asked because that's what Football fans do !
I can understand where letitbe is coming from. After all when the footballing history books are written , it would be nicer to have some silverware in the cabinet than saying the club finished consistently in the top ten or siz or whatever it may be. And frustrating not to see a side being built for greater sucess but constantly having to reassemble it season after season. On the flipside there have been plenty of instances where those sort of fans have been horrified when the club tries to go beyond it's natural boundaries by overspending and ends up flat on it's face. The Pozzo model is one of sustainability and even if Udinese have not won any trophies much to the chagrin of their support at least they are solvent whereas many clubs are not. It remains for UEFA to enforce their laws though and not back down in the faces of the G17 who seem quite happy to flout such laws.
Hoping you still follow the forum, a question to you. Now we have seen this mysterious "I've never heard of him so he must be nothing" Ranegie in 2 games, with Anzhi and Milan. Maybe it's just a flare, you cannot say a good day from the morning, but I have seen 2 goals, a procured penalty, good technique with head and foot, good tactical sense and, what's more important, an apparent good understanding in the field with Di Natale. Do you still think Maccarone (33-years old, great in 2009/10 at Siena but not so exciting the following years) would have been better? I think after all these years in which they positively surprised us so many times, we might trust Pozzo's scouts a little bit more.
but Penne got a short fusilli so is likely to get sent off more often.. it makes no cents to sign Penne, the pozzos are in it for da dough.
