Glam rock group Slade.. The tv comedy Porridge was set in Slade Prison.. One of the main characters in Porridge was the prison office named MacKay (played by a bloke who's real name was MacKay.. Fulton MacKay) Cardiff City apparently have a manager with the same name..
So you get that one like a shot. You lot spend far too mujch time watching telly. Well done by the way I thought that one might have been too obscure.
Twas an easy one ;-) Actually im not sure how i got it. The answer just came to me without having worked out the different steps.. bizarre. NB When i searched that i got the details correct i found out that the facade of Slade Prison, as seen in the opening credits of Porrigde, is really the old prison in St Albans (near the railway station) I walked past there many a time when i was studying at Oaklands College.
Thai brides, you will find a pen is where you expect there to be a hole/Hull. Is that the connection?
Thai Brides are often used as slaves, William Wilberforce got rid of the slave trade and he was from Hull. Didn't Bryan Robson try to sell Hull from Thailand? Tiger Beer?
