No never been to Greece Hornmeister, I was posted in Cyprus for a couple of years. When I was in the Army.
Sorry missed this thread when I joined the forum a month ago ... I'm Jeremy, 16 years old and i'm from Almere (it's near Amsterdam). When I was younger and scrolled through all the teams on FIFA i already liked Watford a lot because of the badge, you gotta love the moose! But I really started following the club after I saw them in the Play-off final against Crystal Palace 2 years ago. Thought it was a good time to join the forum now after reading it for a long time, and i'm just really looking forward to next season!!!
Hello My Name is roger im new to the forum i'm 69 and I live in a hous backing onto the training ground. I also work in the kitchens. I'm #ITK on all things Watford so if you want a guaranteed bit of news come to me not one of those overpaid faaaackin journos or those retweeting self promoting bloggers
Carrots help you age impeccably clearly you are also #itk but I can assure you that "boy" in the picture is not a teenager
Hi, I'm new here. Born next to the ground like lots of us. Never supported anyone but Watford. Watford till I die. We're staying up! You Orns.
Hello, I am Wilzy and I am of a slightly younger generation of Watford fans. I look forward to being part of these interesting discussions here!!
https://bhappy.wordpress.com/2007/04/17/carrots-at-villa-park/ Christ alone knows what the stewards patting our fans down for weapons would have thought when these fans turned up with a carrot in their pockets?
Hi all I'm the new bloke on the block have been going on and off to the vic since 98. Now back in Herts so will be attending a lot more this season!!! Where's the best place to park as I travel from Ware? Thanks Kev
Watford Girls Grammar School, it's nice and near to the Vic, but don't leave it too late as it fills up quite earlyish!
I come from Potters Bar, but I never park in the grammar school because it's £8! I always go to Church as my first choice, although it can take ages to get out. Or if i get their early I park on the road near cassiobury park, which is free and only 10/15 minute walk!
Welcome! Be sure to take part in the various competitions we have running including the scores prediction -> http://www.wfcforums.com/forumdisplay.php?117-Score-Prediction-League-2015-16 Good luck
morning all, my first post! Good vibes for a result today.....Geordies look dodgy at the minute. Season ticket holder, lower Graham Taylor with my boy. First match was 1983, when I tagged along with my friend and his Dad in the old family enclosure. Loved it. Live in Horsham now, would be great to meet up with other local orns and possibly car share.
Hello, I really am a miserable old git – I hate almost everything and everyone. I have been disappointed by WFC for decades – apart from an all too brief spell in the 80’s. I procure my season ticket on the basis that the occasional sunny day, tax rebate or decent pint in my local, may temporarily boost my spirits. However, for almost every Saturday during the football season, I can bank on Watford to bring me back down to earth. It’s not always the team performance that depresses me - most of the time it’s the idiots who “support” the club. Armed with their back-page fuelled nonsense, unrealistic expectations, bewildering hero worship, acceptance of horrendous comestibles at half-time and pride in sporting the garish, overpriced, cheaply produced crap from the club shop – it’s all too depressing. My heroes are Victor Meldrew, Marvin the Paranoid Android and the loveable Tommy from TV’s Early Doors. I tell a lie – my real heroes are possibly the Pozzo family. For almost all of my life, football survived by having wealthy fools, bankrupt themselves, by handing their fortune to hugely talented but relatively simple young men - “pimped-out” by blood-******* crooks. Since the advent of satellite TV, the impact of the rich “sugar-daddy” has waned, (in most clubs at least), replaced by a force so malignant – I cannot bear to type its name. The Pozzo family will forever have my grateful thanks, for bulldozing the East Stand and, (superficially at least), severing the manager’s access to the club cheque-book. There are more crooks sitting in TV studios, stating the bleedin’ obvious for the benefit of the masses, than ever appeared on Shaw Taylor’s “Police Five”. Looks like it may rain later…good! BAH!! ***Why - in the name of all that's holy - is the word s_u_c_k_i_n_g censored? I've only been here 24 hours and I'm already more depressed. RESULT!!
