I don't want you to like the post SM#16, I'd like you to change the name of the sub forum!

May I suggest a few politically themed smileys? ... especially if they look like pigs heads etc.

Not sure the forum software alows it, but one thing I'd like to see is a notification for when a post of yours is quoted, in the same way when it is liked.

Can you get rid of the politics section or people just have it in one thread, it seems that is all that is ever posted during the day and if I click on 'New Posts' it's just this constantly and no actual Watford or football related news.

To be fair under a previous build there used to be a 'New Football Posts' button which did exactly what Timbers was after.

It may be possible to exclude certain sections but requires back end coding. It's not a configurable function that I can adjust. SM~16 is your man here. I'll flag it up.

The politics section is very cliquey but I actually quite enjoy reading through the threads. Posters who otherwise get on fairly well on the forum are at each others throats after a couple of posts.

    Its democracy in action....

And it keeps the bickering away from the main forum and people that don't want to see it.

Agree - Rarely (if ever) post on it but it's quite enjoyable and interesting to see other peoples thoughts on matters of the world and whether they match mine.

Can we have cakes and biscuits given to us from the forum through the computer screen on Friday afternoons?

    Or beer?

    Or both?

Any chance of being able to switch our own view of the colour scheme of the board if needed or turn the board into an official looking document?

Perhaps be able to switch off avatar pictures, or make it look like an excel spreadsheet that we're reading?!

Not so easy to sneak a look on here while in the middle of the office with a massive bright yellow header and boxes all over the place?!

Bottom left of every page there's a drop down menu. Choose the default style and it looks pretty discreet. Avatars can be switched off in your user settings menu but it applies to all colour schemes.

I used to visit a www site that had a link at the top to a page which had a spreadsheet and graph on. The link was "boss coming" or "look busy" something.:]]

Ooh this is better - thanks UEA. The vB4 default view is actually probably the best for me as quite plain and simple colour scheme but still in the usual format.

I'm not sure if it's already been suggested on here so apologies if it has, but what about allowing people to tag other forum users into a post like you can on facebook or twitter? When I've taken a gander on other forums I've seen that it has worked out well on a few forums. Just a thought

Any chance you can get rid of the Tapatalk "Sent from my XXXX using Tapatalk" spam signatures that seem to be creeping into more and more posts?

A quick google search suggests you mod types might be able to do it by fiddling with your settings on the Tapatalk Forum Owner bit to prevent it appearing?

The tapatalk users can remove it themselves - anyone would think it is their belief we are all interested they are using tapatalk from their phone.

I've seen the option somewhere. I'm not interested in showing off which phone I am using, however it is sometimes useful as an indicator as to why a post might be shorter, or contain typos due to typing on a phone.

It's not hard to type a post on your phone without typos. It really isn't.

It is useful only as an indicator as to what the word spam was invented for.

No but predictive text sometimes 'corrects' something which sometimes you don't notice. For example I was writing something about Britos a few days ago and when my post came up it said "British" so I had to go back and edit it.

I presume it sits within whatever interface you have with Tapatalk rather than the vBulletin mod bit itself?

    'The hornet's nest'

This grammar offends me. Any chance of changing it?

No. It's funny to see how annoyed people get with it and in any case what's wrong with it?

    :dismay:

The question is: how many hornets are you referring to? If it's just one, then yes Hornet's is correct, i.e. the nest of the hornet. I don't think you're aiming for this one as you never have just one hornet living in a nest.

If you're referring to more than one hornet, it should be The Hornets' Nest, i.e. the nest of the hornets.

For me the clue's in the big red thing at the top of the forum. It's his nest, so "The Hornet's Nest is appropriate" imho. Also consider that it was set-up by an original moderator - The Hornet.

If you're referring to multiple hornets then it should be Hornets' I agree. But it's not a nest owner by multiple hornets is a nest owned by the forum. The Hornets are the club and this is independent.

If someone can come up with a completely different name I'm not against it being changed however. imho it's not worth it to move an apostrophe 1 character to the right.

To be completely frank I can't be arsed to change it.
