I reckon you would struggle to get that in a Securicor van, as beefy as they are...

no not at all - people who are thinking this are wrong, wrong, wrong.

GS will not be coming back to the board and that is good for all concerned.

I would imagine that all Ashcroft ( as investor) and even GS ( as a fan) would want is a board of directors independent of any shareholder doing the best for wfc = for ashcroft a chance to get some profit form his original INVESTMENT or LOAN for OMR as its not an investment really..

Ashcroft has said he willnot let the club go into administration, but that doesn't mean others can do as they please with it and then demand this that and the other and make threats that no one wants to hear.

actually not TC - in my office all day - but after all of todays silence, then calls to talk and no response - i calcualted there was only one move that was next on the agenda - think i even wrote about it where OMR and KINGJAMES write it of as naive.

Just a calculated guess but quite good timing.

    I hope your right PYA.
But I also believe JR has done wonders for this club in the last year or two(compared to GS).I know your not a fan of JR,but I honestly think we'd have been screwed without him.And i'm still a bit wary without him leading our club.

So Ashcroft is going to pay Jimbob off? Hmmm...well it's not going to be free. Is Ashcroft taking over the Russo situation by loaning the club the money with a charge over the ground? Or is he doing as others suggested and carrying on with the rights issue regardless? In which case the Russo bluff hasn't just been called it's been annihilated. They'll have to pay to keep their influence in the club.

Not by any means. Capital still has to be raised to cover the ongoing liabilities through til initially next summer.

At least the immediate threat of administration is gone. And if Fordwat go through with the rights issue they may well end up as majority owners, plus some cash injected to help with the shortfall. That would be very good. As witnessed the last few days, we don't want a loan from a minority shareholder hanging over us. Well done, Ashcroft.

It's amazing how LA can suddenly find the money to pay off The Russos, but only when their threat of Admin compromised his shareholding, and it's 'value'.

Where was this 'benevolence' in the last 18 months when Homer had all but killed the club, and The Bruvs were desperately pumping away at the Life Support machine?

All very sad, and sordid .......

I thank The Russos for keeping a club I used to love alive - I fear for it's future, hopefully I'm wrong.

Hopefully its the end of A MESS and HOSTILE SHYTE - NOW between them - surely as businessmen, fan and billionaire they can actually forge a business relationship.

The point about being succefull is combining your skills, knowkledge and financial clout - not ucking having wars and board room struggles.

Now - I would love to chair a meeting between these three parties to get a deal workable for all of them, us as fans for the future of wfc and get this club back on track, stronger, wiser and totally united in its aim.

But I is just a lil bear, naive, and foolish.

The flip side of course is that now this loan is cleared the club has no significant debt. It can return to the old model of using the banks though costs will undoubtedly have to be cut. January transfer window could still be savage!

Hopefully everything will be fully sorted.

It looks like there is now no immediate threat of admin but hopefully there is a way for us to be stable in the long term.
