OK ... I'll admit I like the player and will continue to promote him as a solution to our midfield woes. If a bid is rejected then agent Spring must return.

Why has no one else gone for Commons if he's so good?

The Zillionaires from Loftus Rd did offer a miserly 500k.

What do the decent people of this forum gain from hearing you dribble on about Commons yet again?

How on earth can you in one breath say make a bid for Commons and then in another if that bid fails get Spring back?
They are two totally different players. Surely if you were going to promote a bid for Commons and it was going to fail you would then back it up with another left midfield!

Some suggestions on this message board just seem absolutely thoughtless.

Commons is no-where near fit enough a player to make the grade and the same applies for Spring the bloke just does not have the legs any more hence why he was got rid of last year!

Springy was only got rid of because we had Bang Bang, Mahon, Francis and Williams and he probably wouldn't have got any first team football.

    He is only 28.

He is only 28, you're right but that doesn't make him any faster or stronger!

Not that the premiership is looking like a possibility right know but he was shown up more than any other player in the midfield as not being able to cope with the pace and strength that a premiership team possesses!

I'm not saying that what he have at the minute is a great deal better but seriously bring back in Spring is not the answer.
He did great for us in the Championship two years ago but really we need players who will do a job this year with the potential to step up to the grade the following season if it were to happen.

In a perfect world yes it would, but those players are hard to come by and prefer to sit in the squads of sh!t premiership teams than actually ply their trade.

Springy was brilliant for us and an absolute key man. I would love to have him back.

As it stands, our midfield situation will get absolutely no better.

He no doubt has a quality strike and pass of a ball on him and the goals he scored at Derby and Palace oozed class but he just does not have the engine for me.
It just wouldn't be a step forward IMHO in the situation we are in.
I honestly think that if we can get Bangura fit which would add a bit more competition and bite in there and get a left winger to challenge McAnuff then we could be back on to something!

if we get promoted, he will be nowhere near good enough me thinks?? therefore making us have to re-buy, which therefore makes me see it as a pointless acquisition.

Another Commons lover despite him STILL being at Forest, for a winger he's actually quite slow, we can do better.
