Despite his over zelous goal celebrations for Fulham HH is just the kind of player we need at this time.

Too old, too injury prone. I don't fancy doing a Newcastle and going back to the future.

Just the sort of player we need? NO ITS NOT! We want another technically gifted striker to replace King. Hopefully that comes in the form of Ellington or Collins John.

We've got our target man (Hendo) and enough people moan about the long ball we play, bringing in another strong header of the ball such as HH would only exacerbate that. Add to the fact that he is getting old, has little pace, and is injury prone, I'd rather stick to what we've got and actually give Ellington a chance.

Everyone talks about giving Ellinglump a chance.... I say give Priskin more games, younger, can only get better, and HAS ACTUALLY SCORED...

Hope ellinglump is sold this window.

    Ellinglump? Not even mildly funny?!?

Ellington willl be quality for us and now he will have his chance. I think it just the change we have been crying out, a decent CM and we will be close to sorted! (Getting a new LB in as well may be asking a bit too much!).

Apparently HH had his chance to come back in the summer but preferred to sit on the subs bench/treatment table at a relegation likely Prem club. Stuff him.

Depends how you look at it. When you're low on confidence and probably 10% short of peak match fitness does coming on in the 80th minute really work? I'm not sure it does.

heidar - would love him back but sadly I dont think hes the player we need at the moment (most reasons already given on previous tposts)

i hope ellington comes good soon as we sure paid enough for him and I certainly expected more from him.

i just hope cj can do the biz - he must be miffed as didnt he turn us down a couple of times last season?
