Pleased with this. Quite a lot of people think he should be playing instead of Dowling up there (pretty ovbious if you ask me!). He is very highly rated, good singing in my opinion and good to see it is 3 months and not just a month like we got Agbonlahor on and then never really could get or see the potential in him.
well thats the extra winger we all wanted to push the players a bit more and though i know nothing of him many people seem to rate him so hopefully we will see him for a bit on sunday
Great back up for Smith and McAnuff but my concern is that it is only for 3 months, unless we have an option to extend his loan for the remainder of the season, or actually sign him, we could become dependant on him and then when his loan ends we are back to square one. Sorry to be a half empty glass on this but I thought it worth pointing out before we all get carried away.
I'd think that if he's playing well and Boro haven't got an immediate use for him it's be easy enough to extend the deal.
At least we're covered until the January transfer window, maybe Aidys got his eye on someone permanent but has been told he'll have to wait until then?

Ripped us apart last season at Boro, gave Stewart a torrid time. A good signing and keeps Smith and Mcanuff on their toes.
Not exactly a signing, is it? Its just a loan. Utterly pointless signing unless there is an option to buy. Damn loans.
Don't forget in about 3 months we will have Francis and Williams back, so our MF will be very much strengthened, so he will not be needed as much. Having said that, it would be great if we could get him on a permanent basis, as I expect him to be a great asset!!!
Getting Williams and Francis back makes no difference at all, their not wingers! I actually expect him to be very much pushing for a starting place, I can't see him coming here to sit on the bench or simply provide 'cover'.
Thats what I'm worried about. You can't build a team around a loan player. I'm fine if he is just cover, but unless we have an option to buy him then I don't want to see him sitting there with a starting place just because he dons a couple of lions occasionally. And I don't particularly want him to get a place above Macca.

McAnuff hasn't been that great in the last two games, I reckon Johnson will start one of our next two ahead of him.
