Just seen on skysports, he's a free agent, he would want to join a championship team who could go up, and isn't asking for a large wage, he was going to join leicster yesterday but his medical got cancelled, so maybe we could sign him?

too lazy and too old, why would we want another striker when we have players capable... king, priskin, hendo and i think hoskins will come through in the championship.

King and Hasselbaink up front......... NOW YOU'RE TALKING

He would destroy the Championship with one leg

I say sign him up even if it does take 20k a week!

Not worth it if we'd have to pay Marlon £20k a week as well tho.

Got a feeling we may have to pay Marlon 20k per week to keep him if the wages being touted by derby are true.

I have always rated Jimmy, IMHO he is one of the best strikers to have ever graced the premiership, as he has always scored a hat full of goals wherever he has played.

Although his best days are now behind him, I would like to think that he could still do a job, especially at championship level, and as he is available on a free, surely someone of his proven quality has to be worth a punt?

He'd be injured to score none. He has been prolific everywhere he has played (at the highest level). He'd definitely score in the Champ.

He'd break the wage structure and spend most of the time complaining and whining.

    No fecking way.

He'd just be another past his best premiership player looking for one more big fat wage packet before retiring, NO THANK YOU!

I dont believe he is going to Derby , But i can see the club giving him an extra couple of quid to make him happier.

I'm sure if Marlon did go to Derby that he would be clever enough to have a get out clause that would include relegation.

like i've said in another thread, we still need another striker imo. i couldn't give a **** if he isn't passionate or he's after a few bob before retiring, if he scores goals and gets us promoted then that'll do me fine! As ivam said, no harm in offering him a contract till december or even pay as you play....

Yeah what a brilliant idea. Get and old, whiny ****** to bring down morale, bang in a couple of goals and sod off again, so our strikers haven't had the match experience.

Real brilliant long term thinking we have.

So Cardiff will have a strike force of Fowler and JFH - not the speediest two in the world. Heck even Shittu could outrun them.
