I'm not entirely sure. Seems very harsh. But I think its just a debate on the radio and not an actual suggestion by fa.

Well it's an athletics venue and therefore doesn't really need a higher capacity. With Wembley stadium on the other side of London the capital is in no need of another big football stadium, whereas athletics is crying out for another prime venue.

West Ham really do seem to be in self-destruct mode on the pitch, you think that the fans would do something to help the club rather than get it in more trouble.

I watched the extended sky highlights of the spurs game, not knowing the score since i'd been out all day. What a 'rollercoaster of emotions'. Bad enough for a watford fan with the lead changing so much - it would finish me off if i was a west ham fan.

"great game for the neutrals" my ar*e

Crystal Palace is an ancient decrepit venue, so athletics is desperate for it. At the same time they don't need a massive venue. However, you never know, it might end up hosting football. Leyton Orient are in preliminary negotiations, but would have to retain the track which has significant ramifications for the atmosphere - especially as they won't attract sufficient crowds in League 2 anyway. It will 100% not be a World Cup venue I'm afraid.

Don't think you can have two stadiums from one city in a World Cup bid

    Much like Luton really.

14 points in last 24 games (last time we had such a bad run was in our last Premiership campaign, says it all)

Worst away record (no away wins since September)

Countless games having been drawn or lost after leading, especially at home - no other Championship team has dropped more points when being ahead.

    Joint worst defence

    THAT'S why they're in the sh1t...

And apparently if Luton had scored that penalty it would have been daylight robbery, especially after Leeds dominating much of the game and hitting the woodwork three times.

    Straight from wikipedia:

    "Yi d Army"

The club has a reputation, sometimes mockingly referred to by rival supporters, of having a large Jewish following, and this has led to some Tottenham supporters ironically referring to themselves as Yi ds, a nickname derived from the Yi ddish word for "Jew" and sometimes used by gentiles as a pejorative term of abuse. Whilst the epithet *** was originally used as an anti-semitic racist provocation by opposition fans it was in the 1960s taken over by some Spurs fans in order to lessen its impact. A small element among the Tottenham crowd (probably in fact almost entirely not Jews themselves), developed related bonding chants such as "Yi ddos!" and "Y id Army!". These are still commonly used today and the wearing of “Y id” as a badge of pride has effectively diffused its use as an insult.
It is debatable whether, given the fact that Tottenham Hotspur's fan base is largely non-Jewish, the use of the word '***' in this context is still acceptable but most Spurs supporters, whether Jews or not, find it inoffensive and mildly amusing. The term ' Y id', as used by a Spurs supporter, has, for the vast majority of supporters, no anti-semitic connotation and it is now simply part of the Tottenham sub-culture. Some people not used to hearing the word used in this way may find it offensive, but genuine supporters usually try to explain to them that it is really an ironic term of endearment – and, importantly, that its use by Spurs fans has stopped its use as real racial abuse by rival supporters.
A meeting, arranged for March 19, will be attended by representatives of the Kick It Out campaign, the club, its supporters' trust, the Community Security Trust, a Jewish community organisation, the Football Association and the Premier League.

Some people still find the term offensive, however agreed this is probably in the minority but it is probably best that the word remains censored in respect that the n word for black people is acceptable when amongst thmselves but not when the word is used by others.

an interesting perspective, but who says the N word is acceptable when used amongst themselves but not when others use it? Its not a word I would use but, ultimately, the concept of "one rule for one and anothe rule for everyone else" is pure hypocricy and a detestable idea.

Regardless, the n word occupies a different context to the word y id. The n word has always been been meant as a term of abuse whereas y id actually refers directly to their creed. If you want to offend a Gypsy you dont call him a Gypsy but a Pikey. If you want to offend a Turk you dont call him Turkish. Some people may find the word y id offensive when used by non-jews but then they shouldnt use the word in front of non-jews. In my opinion its political correctness gone mad!
