View Full Version : Time for a new forum CD

Here's the plan. I want each user who stumbles accross this thread to post one song (and artist) so that I can put another bundle of MP3's together. Not football related this time, just something you listened to recently, even today, that you really like, and maybe a short description why, (but not important). When I've got enough I'll put them all up on the server in the Hornets nest for a wfcforums MP3 collection which you can download and turn into a CD, (as I will). If it works out then maybe it could be a monthly thing?

I shall start!

On Sunday one of the kids put on an old CD of the wifes called "hits 93". One song I loved, because it brought back memories of the early 90's which were good times, (pre kids ;)). All of us ended up dancing around the house and I think seriously pi55ing off the neighbours. So I shall start with...

"What is Love" by Haddaway

That really is dreadful:p

OK here's mine, a bit off the wall but I spose that's me.

"Fish" by Mr Scruff. Quite possibly the oddist tune I've heard in fact the whole album (Keep it unreal) is bizzarre but grows on you.

Excellent. This CD should build up a perfect picture of the users. I'm scared already!

EDIT: made sticky for maximum exposure

Are we allowed to have more than one?

If so my second choice is Basket case by Green Day, it reminds me of being young and carefree.

Oh how I used to love jumping around the dancefloor to that song!

Also describes me perfectly ;D

firstly 'aint no easy way' by black rebel motorcycle club.
secondly 'when the night feels my song' by bedouin soundclash.

Not really that much meaning behind them, i just like them :p

The original plan was 1 each, but 2 is definately better. Anyone who's chosen 1 so far pick another. This'll be one wierd CD!!!

My 2nd is going to be "video killed the radio star", by Buggles. I put that as a backing track for a slideshow for a friend this year and grew to really like it.

I would just like to say I chose the first song because of my name not because I like it.

And you have got to have faith, in Aidy, in the boys, and that we will be in Europe with in 3 seasons!!!

If this is still ongoing, can I please have;

Teardrop, by Massive Attack, and
White Riot, by The Clash

one track to slit your wrists to, the other to go FU**ING MENTAL to.

Of course, you would need to listen to them in the reverse order, or things would get really messy.

Well if this is still going then, I would have to add Hurt by Johny Cash and then to boost the mood a bit, Rudy (A Message to You) by the Specials

I have three songs, but since we can only have two I will put them in order!

1.The Jam-That's Entertainment
2.Skinnyman- Council Estate of Mind
3.Oasis- Don't Look Back in Anger

By the way, if no one has heard of Skinnyman, he is an English Hip-Hop artist who has been around for years, His latest Album, also named "Council Estate of Mind", is a very down to earth piece of work compared to most UK Hip-Hop artists and between songs it is full of quotes from the film "Made In Britain"(wicked film). If you enjoy meaningful music and don't mind a bit of Hip-Hop then i strongly suggest downloading or buying Skinnyman's Album.
