Watford are preparing to sell striker Ashley Young, with Tottenham, Aston Villa, West Ham and Liverpool the clubs in serious contention. (The Guardian)

Tottenham are the favourites to sign Hornets star Young, although if Spurs fail to land him he is likely to move to Aston Villa. (The Times)

Fulham have told forward Collins John he will be frozen out at Craven Cottage if he does not join Watford. (The Times)

If these rumours are to be believed, this whole saga is becoming a bit of a farce really
